Amari's POV

Location: Amari's HomeI woke up with a groan, wincing when I attempt to move my now sore body. I hear a small muffled groan from my right, noticing Frankie asleep with her head resting on my chest. Sherry lied to my left, her arms wrapped around mine, with all our legs tangled together. I slowly slid from out their grips and moved toward the bottom of the bed.
I walked over to the bathroom and headed inside. I grabbed my toothbrush and start brushing. I then wash my face and start unwrapping the gauze that wrapped around my neck. I had originally thought that the mark would've healed over or at least stopped oozing black liquid, but I was wrong. So wrong in fact, the wound looked exactly as it did when Frankie first bandaged it up.
I repeat the process of dressing and rewrap it. Once I was down with all my morning routines, elect the bathroom to get dressed. Seeing as how we have more than a hundred people down the street, work is going to need to get done. I put on a pair of jeans, they weren't tight enough to make me uncomfortable, but not too loose that they would sag.
I then put on a black t-shirt and some hiking boots. I take another look at my...the girls before walking out and down the stairs. I was supposed to train Duke and Jade, well we were, but I guess we can do it after I finish with the wood cutting.
I head downstairs and walk over to the kitchen. I get Hallie, Pepper, Flake, Bane, Ace, and Ares' food ready and see what I can fix up for myself. I look through the pantry and take out some cereal, pouring some into a bowl. I pour some milk and eat at the counter. After I finished I set the dishes in the sink.
As I go to walk over to the front door I stumble into the wall, suddenly feeling a bit light headed. I shake it off and set myself back up straight, continuing towards the door. I walked a bit slower and walked out the house, I headed over to the curb and walked a few ways down. I see the buses still parked, a few soldiers could be seen walking around with their rifles in hand.
They had raised their guns as I got closer, quickly calming down when they realized it was me. "Where's wick?" I asked. They pointed a bit further up and at the bus all the way in the front.
I nod in thanks and head over. When I get closer I hear voices get louder until I see wick standing in front of the bus, talking with Robby and Till. Some other guy was standing with them but he didn't look familiar. "Wick." The announced, watching his attention direct from his men to me. "Mavis, I've been meaning to speak with you." He said as he stepped forward with his hands on his waist.
"Is that so?" He doesn't say anything, instead he looks back at his men. I'm assuming these are his right hands, I mean none of his other men are apart of this secret meeting.
"I don't think we've met." I hear from the right of me. I turn to the mystery soldier who held out his hand. I look him up and down with a quirked brow. He had light brown hair and a growing beard. He seemed to be in his late twenties, could definitely pass for 31. I shake his hand and give a firm grip, maybe too firm as I notice him wince before taking his hand back.
"Sorry about that, guess I don't know my own strength." I smirked. He slowly grows a smile before it turns into a grin. He lets out a laugh before slapping his hand on my back. "I like this one." He cackled. "Mavis, where are we." Wick finally asked. "I was wondering when you were going to say something." Till scoffed before crossing his arms.
"I thought it was obvious, you're at my home."
I watch as they grow a small look of disbelief before whisking it away. "Your house?" I nod and place my hands on my waist. "Didn't you see the house?" I questioned, turning my body half way with my thumb pointed in the direction of the cabin. "I mean we drove past it and everything."
