Down in the lab, Adam was sitting on one of Davenport Industries red golf carts, with a crash dummy in the seat next to him. Evie and Leo stood off to the side, trying their best to help him practice for his drivers test. "Alright, Adam. We borrowed Big D's hydrogen-powered golf cart to help you practice for your driving test. First step, seatbelts." Leo said, flipping the page on the clipboard he held.
Adam let out a deep breath. "Okay...focus." He said, before reaching for the seatbelt, buckling himself in. "Yes!" Adam cheered, throwing his hands up. Evie giggled, shaking her head. "Zero to buckle in under five seconds." Adam said, high-fiving Leo. Chase laughed as he entered the lab through the back entrance. "Oh, look, a dummy driving a dummy." He teased.
"Ooh, what's this button do?" Adam asked, pressing a button on the steering wheel, causing the golf cart to accelerate forward. "Adam, wait. No!" Evie and Leo shouted, trying to stop him, but it was too late. "Aah!" Chase screamed as Adam drove towards him. "Brake! Babe, you have to brake!" Evie shouted.
Adam pressed his foot against the brake pedal, causing the crash dummy to fly out of the cart and crash into Chase, sending him to the floor. "Wish all buttons did that." Adam laughed. Evie sighed, biting her lip, trying to repress a smile. "Yeah, we should've made sure he buckled in the dummy." She said. Leo nodded. "Well, let's run it again!" He exclaimed, smiling as Chase groaned in pain on the floor. "Oh, suck it up, short stack." Evie scoffed, rolling her eyes.
