In the middle of the school hallway, Adam and Chase watched as a student played his guitar, jamming out to the music. "Oh, sweet! Look at your fingers go! It's like each one has a little brain of its own." Adam spoke once the student finished. "Thanks. You know, you guys are the only people who have talked to me at this school. Well, and this one girl from chemistry. She was very nice and pretty. I hate being the new kid." Marcus, the student who was playing the guitar, said.
"Yeah, we used to be the new kids that no one talked to. Now we're just the vaguely familiar kids that no one talks to." Chase said. Adam smiled, holding his hand up for a high-five. Chase just shook his head, holding back an eye roll. "Leo, I'm telling you, strawberries are way better than blueberries." The group heard Evie say. They looked over and saw the brunette girl and Leo walking towards them.
"No. Nope. Not possible." Leo replied, shaking his head. "Hey, that's the nice girl from chemistry." Marcus smiled. "Hey, peeps. What's the deal-io?" Leo asked, as the pair stopped in front of Adam, Chase and Marcus. "Hey, babe." Evie smiled, pecking Adam's cheek. Adam smiled, wrapping his arm around her waist. "Hi. I'm Marcus." Marcus said, holding his hand out to Leo, who gave him a straight face.
"I know. We have gym together. And study hall. And also chemistry. We're lab partners." Leo replied. "Oh. I...did not know that." Marcus replied. Evie giggled, resting her head on Adam's shoulder, while Leo rolled his eyes. "That's because you were too busy staring at my sister." He replied. "What?" Adam asked, tightening his hold on Evie. "It's okay, Lover." Evie whispered, rubbing his chest.
