Lisa smiled and sincerely thanked them and said she will relay their words. Then she asked Valdis, "Are you okay? Do you need me to recommend you for another job? You are so good, careful, and hardworking that many organizations will want to work with you."
Valdis just smiled in response. She knew her situation well. She went to work on time every day, her projects were completed and submitted long before deadlines, her performance was outstanding among all the interns, and she had good interpersonal relationships with her colleagues but she had too good of looks. This time she was removed because she was too good-looking and her department manager didn't like her.
When she knew that her department manager was a woman she was quite happy. She thought she will not have to face discrimination or sexual harassment in the workplace. But who knew that the deputy manager liked her at first sight and the department manager who had shown interest in him was rejected due to her.
But she didn't take it seriously this was not the first time something like this happened there was a precedence once in college. Her beauty can make her stand out even out of good-looking people. And she already owns one house and one shop in a good location in this tier-1 city.
So she doesn't need to worry about bread and butter and living. She also has enough savings so she can take her time and relax for a few months before starting a new job.
