Chapter 28: The Ruler's Meeting

There were two other faces Ford has never seen before, all as beautiful as princesses. Ford had presumed they were the other candidates before Arias was elected.

Reed: "The meeting will now start!"

Suddenly, a wooden hammer banged on the table Reed was at. This hammer bang reminded Ford of going through a court case.

There were many aspects of Earth in Rowan, but that was no surprise to Ford, as the vice leader, Redis, was also Isekai'd, like him.

Reed: "Candidates, introduce yourselves!"

Suddenly, four women moved up to the front of the room, faced the audience, and introduced themselves-

Ford only recognized two of them ; Arias, and Ama.

Arias: "My Name is Arias, I am the current princess of Crowlan!"

Ama: "My name is Ama, I was a former candidate for Princess of Crowlan!"

Teresa: "My name is Teresa Vamic! I am the current princess of Payerway!"

Felma: "My name is Felma Radle! I was a former candidate for Princess of Payerway!"

First, there was Teresa. A beautiful girl with long white hair, a black dress, and purple eyes. Then there was Felma, another beautiful girl with Short green hair, green eyes, and a white suit with a long white cloak.

Ford's mind: {Ama was a candidate?!}

Since the first time Ford met Ama, he had no idea she was a candidate for Princess. So hearing that came as a shocker to him.

Reed: "Thank you! Now move back to your original places!"

Then, the four women moved back to their original places at the right side of the room.

The room was separated this way:

The Knights: Ford Reski, Vulgart, Ladis, and Daren, all stood at the left side of the room.

The princesses: Arias, Ama, Teresa, and Felma, all stood at the right side of the room.

While Reed and Redis remained at the front of the room. That was the entire crew that Reed had gathered to take out the Devoted Cult.

Reed: "Now for the point of the meeting. We have reason to believe the Devoted Cult is starting to break their oath, and are planning to attack the capital."

The meeting comes to a conclusion about an hour after it started. This wasn't the only meeting the crew would have to attend though.

The crew still had to discuss what the Devoted Cult could actually be planning. That meeting wasn't for another week though, so Arias and Ford would have free time to explore more of the city over that week.

Anyway, Ford would head over to the Knight's Barracks, as that is where he would be staying over the week until the next meeting. Ladis would be joining Ford in the Knight's Barracks, Daren as well.

Vulgart and Cecilia, however, would stay at a nearby Inn. Vulgart is a knight as well, but he has retired many years ago.

Ford enters the Knight's Barracks ; a huge interior, with the canteen, a training room, and a meeting room to the left, and bedrooms to the right.

There are about one hundred rooms total in the Barracks, and each room holds two people, which means Ford will have a roommate.

Ford's roommate would end up being Ladis. Ford and Ladis were good friends, so of course, he didn't mind being his roommate.

It was already midnight, so Ford would head to the room to get some sleep. He hasn't had the nightmares in 2 years, so he wouldn't need the dreamcatcher.

Before he fell asleep: he realized Ladis was very similar to himself in many ways. It almost seems like he has knowledge of the modern world. Could Ladis actually have been Isekai'd as well?

Ford didn't want to think about that. He had already met Redis, who was Isekai'd. The thought of there being more than one person who was Isekai'd never crossed Ford's mind.

Anyway, Ford would get some sleep. He woke up at around 8am if he had to guess. He got up, got ready, and headed outside, where Arias would be waiting for him.

"Good morning, Arias!"

Arias: "Mornin', Ford!"

"So what did you want to do today?"

Arias: "We should go on a walk!"

Ford agreed, as they haven't went on a proper walk and talk in 2 weeks.

With that, Ford and Arias would go on a walk around the Capital.
