Chapter 9: Contract Spirit of the Castle

Ford walks upstairs

Ford: "Heya Rosey!"

Rosey: "——"

Rosey has not said a word to Ford since his arrival to the Castle 2 weeks ago.

Ford: "you have to talk to me at some point"

Ford would not leave. He would stay there for nearly an hour before he thought Rosey would finally speak up, but-

Ford: "wha-- AHHHH"

Just then, Ford was forcefully thrown down the stairs, he didn't die however, he was just in a bit of pain

Ford: "damn spirit bitch.."

Ford said as he stood up

Ford: "You will speak to me someday, I just got to wait"

Arias: "Ford! Are you okay?!"

Arias had heard Ford scream, so she went to check on him

Ford: "yeah, that damn Rosey threw me down the stairs..."

Arias: "let me heal you.."

Just then, Arias would use what looked to be a healing magic

Ford: "Woah, you can heal?!"

Arias: "well actually, Rae can heal. I'm just sharing his mana"

Ford: "I see.."

After Ford was healed, he and Arias would continue to the garden.

Ford: "so, you have any clues on how I can get Rosey to speak to me?"

Arias: "No, I don't, just give it some time. I'm sure she'll talk to you.."

Ford was too busy talking to Arias that he didn't notice Rosey staring at him through a window..

Rosey: "I wish I could..."

She would proceed to say, while staring at what looks to be a scroll in her hand.

An hour after the talk with Arias, Ford would head back to his room, before thinking of Rosey: "I should go check on her" He thought to himself.

That's exactly what he did.

He proceeded to head up the stairs again.

As he was walking up the stairs, his hands were shaking and his feet were trembling

Ford: "Whats going on?"

Ford was confused as to why he was so nervous, but it was probably because he didn't want to get thrown down the stairs again... He would arrive at the door of her room, slowly put his hand on the knob, turn it, and open the door-

Ford: "Hey, Rosey"

Ford said in a shakey voice

Rosey sighed, and said-

Rosey: "don't look so scared"

Ford was surprised.

Those were the first words he heard Rosey say to him in a whole 2 weeks..

Ford: "huh?"

Rosey: "didn't you hear me? I said don't be scared..."

Ford: "No, I mean, you're actually talking to me??"

Rosey: "You surprised?"

Ford: "Yeah I'm surprised! That's the first thing you've said to me in two weeks!!"

Ford couldn't help but be a little bit pissed off.

All that time, All the times he would walk to Rosey's room just to be ignored or thrown down the stairs... All that for a measly sentence said to him 2 weeks later...

Ford: "what's gotten into you?"

Rosey: "What? I can't talk?"

Ford: "It's been 2 weeks!!"

Ford snapped at Rosey

Rosey: "I know!"

Ford: "Why speak to me now?! When you could've said literally anything over those two weeks!!"

Rosey: "That doesn't matter"

Ford: "It does matter! To me at least.."

Rosey: "Well, I'm speaking to you now, aren't I?"

Rosey would proceed to tear up, and Ford looked confused-

Ford: "wha--"

Rosey: "just get out of here!"

Before Ford could finish what he was saying, he was thrown down the stairs again-

Arias: "Ford?"

Arias came over-

Ford: "I'm okay.."

Ford would proceed to say while getting back yo--

Ford: "no need to heal me"

Arias: "are you sure?"

Ford: "Yeah.."

Arias: "Alright..."

Ford would proceed to head back to his room, where he would get ready for bed.

The next morning

Ford woke up, Surprised that Rosey had finally spoken to him...

Ford would proceed to head back upstairs, to see if Rosey would speak to him again...

But the the door was locked.

Ford: "Strange..."

Ford was right.

That was strange, as Rosey's door was never locked. Ford shrugged it off, and would proceed to head back downstairs.

As soon as he reached the bottom step, the maid appeared, and said-

Maid: "The Master's calling us"

The master was calling in a meeting..

What could it be about?
