Michael was finally back and was done with his service. The friend he made, Peter, ended up on the same plane with him to California. "I don't remember you bein from out here," Mike spoke to Peter as they were getting off the plane. "Im not originally, but I need something different... I don't think I ever told ya this, but I was forced into going over there. I hate the idea of invading other peoples' homelands." "Oh, Im sorry bud. You are in the right place though, things always seem to begin out here..." "When do you go back to Texas?" "Im not really sure when Paige wants to... She is taking a semester off from college because we are having our wedding ceremony at some point, and if she had a baby it is about 6 months old already..." "Oh my gosh! She hasn't sent any photos has she?" "No, she wants it all to be a surprise. Though she said he looks like me," he grinned. "Daw, thats adorable."
"MICHAEL!" Paige's scream of joy was heard by all. Micky held Christian as she ran into Michael's arms. "Unf," Michael sounded from the impact. Peter had a giant grin on his face. Michael held the weight of himself and his lovely wife as she used all four limbs to hug him. "Oh, Michael," she whispered through her tears of joy. "Im here, babe, and Im not leaving again." Micky and Davy made their way over with the baby. "Michael, she wasn't lying!" Peter smiled when he saw the baby. As Paige released Michael the baby was handed to him. "Oh... my... gosh..." Michael's smile was as bright as the sun. "Hi, how ya doin?" he cooed at Christian. "Im Peter, by the way," Michael's friend whispered. Everyone greeted Peter, then returning to the baby. "May I hold him?" Peter inquired. "Of course!" Paige replied. Michael passed off his child who was already half a year old. "What has it been like? 6 months with your first child alone must have been rough," Peter noted. "You would think, but his godfather has been an enormous help! And so has Davy here, when he can at least, he is an actor," Paige informed as the other two boys grinned. "Ah well that's good! Hopefully he wont be too much for ol' Mikey here," Peter smirked as he patted him on the back, then giving him his child back. "Would you care to join us all for dinner, Peter?" Paige offered, "Micky's mother has a great feast cookin for us!' "Oh, I would love to, but I need to drop my stuff off at my friend Stephen's house first." "That's fine. Just meet us at this address when you are finished," Paige smiled as she recited the address of the Dolenz residence to Peter as he wrote it down. The group walked out of the airport and proceeded to go their separate ways. Peter hailed a taxi while the others walked to Micky's car. "Shot gun!" Davy shouted like a young child. "Are you sure that you're tall enough?" Mike teased. "Ahah, very funny, that is," Davy sassed.
"I hope you made extra, ma, we have one more to feed tonight! Mike made a friend while he was gone!" Micky told his mother as he walked through the door. "There is always enough, silly! Michael, it's great to see you back, and with little Christian too! He has your eyes," she spoke joyfully. "Thank you. It is great to be back, ma'am," he smiled. Mrs. Dolenz then proceeded to pick up Christian from Michael. "You have gotten so much bigger!" she exclaimed as she tickled him, causing him to laugh loudly. "He might look like me, but he is loud like you," Mike teased Paige. She then proceeded to punch his arm with a smile painted on her face. "All of you can go off now, dinner will be ready shortly," Mrs. Dolenz informed as she handed Christian back to his father. Soon enough the door bell rang, which led to Peter being introduced again. "I feel so popular today," he laughed.
Dinner consisted of ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, apple pie, and sweet tea. "Everything was delicious!" Davy exclaimed. "Did you expect it to be horrid?" Micky inquired in a joking manor. Everyone expressed how amazing the meal was, shortly after they were all out the door. "Peter, I can drop you off at your friend's!" Micky offered. "Oh that would be swell, thank you!" "No problem, man. Davy, you get booted to the lovers in the back." Davy sighed, "Fine." This caused all of them to chuckle.
Christian was fast asleep when Michael and Paige entered her dorm, so they laid him in his crib and hoped that he would stay asleep. "Ive missed you so much," Michael spoke softly as he pushed Paige's hair behind her ear, then proceeding to give her a very long kiss that they both had been craving for what felt like an eternity. "Ive missed you as well," she grinned before planting a kiss on his lips. "I think I missed you more," Michael stated, again kissing her. "Oh yeah? So many nights I wish you were here to go take care of Christian... He was rather rowdy the first month or so," she informed her husband. "Well Im here now, babe." He picked her up off of the couch and laid her down on the bed. He kissed her behind the ear and made his way down to her neck. "Michael," Paige whispered. "What is it, love?" "I love you so so so much," she broke out crying as she hugged him. "What's wrong, baby? Im here. Christian is here." "Ive just missed you so much. Things are starting to heat up more and more around the world it seems. I had so many restless nights because of that. All I could think about was you being killed and never getting to see Christian, and then Christian never would have seen you... It was just horrible," she expressed what she had felt the past 6 months. "Im so sorry," he looked her in the eye. "I never meant for anything like that to happen to you..." "I know. If it wasn't for the boys I don't know if I would still have Christian. Micky would take him about once a week so I could get some sleep without as much worry." Michael hugged her like a teddy bear, not wanting to let go. The two of them ended up passing out shortly after, with Michael wrapping his arms around his love.
