This entire story has spoilers for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the kingdom. I recommend you've completed both of the games, and understand the lore and story of both. I won't be recapping, so you will be clueless if you don't know the story of both games.

After the True Ending

Mineru had fully passed on. It was tough on Zelda. Mineru was like a sister to her. Despite her being from eons ago, Zelda had held her so very close. It was truly saddening, but she had to continue on.

After the sages' pledge to Zelda, and Mineru's formal passing, everyone stayed silent.

It felt as though breaking the silence would be disrespectful, and it stayed that way for a few minutes. Eventually, Zelda had spoken.

"We must follow the path King Rauru and Mineru set for us. They wanted this land to have eternal peace, and we shall fulfill that request." She spoke calmly, hiding the sadness she felt whilst trying to negate the sadness everyone else faced.

Everyone bowed, before heading to the zonai wing Link had set down. They glided back to Lookout Landing, meeting with their respective races and people. Zelda and Link stayed there a bit longer, grieving the end of a wondrous yet mysterious era.

"Are you okay, your highness?" Link asked, attempting to sooth her. It must have been hard being a dragon for countless eons, aimlessly roaming the sky. In the ancient past, she had a family, one loving and more caring than any other. Mineru was like a sister to her, a fellow scientist and researcher. Although it was reasonable for it to end, it was terribly rough on her.

"I.. Don't quite know. I'm still processing the fact that I am no longer a dragon, and I've returned home. I wish I could have spent more time with Rauru, Sonia, and Mineru." Her heart felt cold, deeply missing her late family. She had Link, now, however. She missed him for the several eons she spent in the sky. Her tears spread across the kingdom, thinking she would forever be cursed to be a dragon.

"I understand. Take as much time as you need." He kneeled before the princess, feeling complete now that she was back. He has missed her every minute of every hour he spent on his long journey.

"Link, there's really no need to be so formal."

"My apologies. Are you ready to leave?" He had grown tired after such a long day.

"Yes, that is alright. Let's use one of those 'Wing' devices." Her curiosity with Zonai devices matched her former curiosity for the Divine Beasts.

Link placed down a wing, setting it on the edge
of the island. He put a cart on the bottom so it could slide off the island. Zelda carefully got on the wrong, avoiding launching it prematurely. Link sat next to her, using the edge of his sword on the ground to push it.

The wing caught the wind, gliding as if it had no weight. "This is nice." Zelda said, wind flowing through her hair.

"There's nothing like gliding from a wing." Link quietly said. His hand interlocked with Zelda's, as the wind turned around them. "Where to, princess?"

"Let's go back home to Hateno. I'm sure the children are looking for me." Zelda was excited to be back.

"They have been asking about you. One child walks over to our house every day to see if you're back."

"How sweet! I'll be sure to comfort her. It's been about two months since I went back in time, correct?"

"Yeah. Been counting the days.." Link had blushed, embarrassingly admitting that.

"Me too. Stopped at about a hundred thousand, though." She chuckled.

"I'm so sorry you had to endure all that. At least we're together again." Link had felt a guilt for her, having to do all of that. Zelda was stronger than anyone he's seen before. She was truly amazing.

"Oh! We're here." The wing touched down by their home. Immediately, once of the children tab towards them.

"Ms. Zelda! You're finally back!" The child has happily screamed while hugging her extremely tight. "Where were you?"

"Oh, it's a long story. All that matters is that in here now." She didn't know how to tell the child about all the things she has faced.

"Oh. Well, I'm happy you're back! I have to go back for dinner. Bye miss Zelda!"

Zelda felt a surge of happiness. She was home.

"I'm going to the general store for food. I'll be back." Link offered to get groceries.

"I will be in the house. See you soon." She entered the house, taking in all the memories they've made. She tidied up the table and the bed, setting them for two. She laid down on the bed, resting after such a long day. She turned on her Purah Pad, messaging Purah.

Hello, Purah!

Hello, Zelda! Did you get home safely?

Yes, I did. I had a question about the Purah Pad.

What is it?

Well, after I returned back to a hylian after being a dragon, Link's Zonai arm was reverted back to a normal arm.

Ah.

Yes, I feel bad about him losing his abilities, as he can no longer fuse materials to his weapons or easily build things. Do you know if you could build a simple version of these abilities into the Purah Pad?

I believe it may be possible. I will get to work with Robbie on this. I will get back to you soon.

Thank you so much! I'll go now. Don't want to waste your time.

Oh, it's no waste of time. Anything for you and your beloved knight. After all, you two saved Hyrule. CYA!

She turned off her Purah Pad. She was ecstatic that Purah was willing to attempt to put those abilities into the pad.

Link was likely returning soon. The general store isn't massive. Interrupting her thoughts, Link opened the door.

"I'm home! I'm making meat-stuffed pumpkins with a side of carrot soup." That was her favorite!

"Great! I'll be down in a second."

It smelled amazing. Link was a great chef. She served herself, and sat at the table. "Today has been great. I'm finally home and with you again!"

Link blushed. "I'm just glad things can go back to normal. I don't think Ganon will be able to come back ever again. They finished their food, offering the leftovers to the other villagers. It made Zelda ecstatic, helping people even in the smallest ways

The sun had set past Dueling Peaks, and the moon was peeking over the tech lab. Link set his tunic on the coat rack, changing into more casual night clothes. He laid on the bed next to Zelda, getting ready to sleep. They looked out of the window, seeing that a meteor shower had begun.

The comets had lit up the sky like no other.
"Everything's finally back to normal." Zelda was fascinated by the meteors. She held Link's hand tight, knowing she was finally with him again. "It's nice having no pressing matters at hand. No calamity, no demon king, no looming threat. We can just.. Rest."

Their eyes slowly shut, their breathing slowly. They could finally relax. They slowly fell asleep, side by side.
