Chapter 35; Passed out librarians.

I ran as fast as I could, I wouldn't let him catch me. I wanted to actually win atleast one of his bets. I watched as kids, parents, workers, elders, and kids my age stared at me running.

Maybe I was going to lose, but I didn't care I had to run as fast as I could manage. I wasn't going to let Daniel win this time. I had to win. I was probably going to end up getting arrested or something because I was running in a mall. And that would probably be "unsafe". But in the middle of my running session I bumped into someone.

I looked up at his eyes, his eyes were a shade of electrifying blue. He dropped both his hands on my shoulders, and still continued to look at me with those charming eyes. They were charming, but dangerous, and cold. They were a bad sign and I could tell because I saw nothing but anger in them.

"Umm..." I tralied off not knowing what to tell him. "John." Was all that left my mouth.

"Listen Amanda, I need to tell you something. Something Daniel is hiding from you." He told me, still taking hold of my shoulders.

Amanda? How did he know my real name was Amanda? "How do you know I-I'm Amanda?" I questioned, furrowing my eyebrows so close together.

"Doesn't matter. But you know what matters? This thing, the thing Daniel is hiding from you."

I looked behind him, Tiffany had her hands on her hips, and she was smirking at me. I noticed a moving small shape behind her, it was nobody but himself, Daniel.

"Wha-what is it?" I found myself sweating, desperately wanting answers.

He sighed, and looked at me with sad eyes, like he was regretting this whole conversation we were having.

"Daniel is..."

Never in my life had I sweat this much, especially while I was asleep. This dream scared the crap out of me. How could I dream something like this?

I looked up, my mum was smiling down at me but I ignored her turning my body around and wanting to fall back asleep so I could dream the rest of the dream I was having. What was John going to tell me? It just didn't make any sence. Why was Tiffany behind him?

I tried to block out all thoughts so I could go back to sleep but my mum's laughter made me wake up.

Wait, my mother is here? I thought she was suppose to be at work. Well, in a business trip.

"Mum?" I turned back around. I slapped the side of my face but just ended up wincing in pain, I should've just pinched myself to check if this was real.

"Amanda, are you okay honey?" She carefully eyed my now swollen red cheek.

"Mum? Aren't you suppose to be at a business trip?" I stood up squinting my eyes.

"Yes, but luckily the rest of the meetings got canceled because our boss' kid was in a very bad condition and got sent to the hospital." She explained, still smiling down at me.

She stared next to her, she was glancing at something on the floor. I suddenly got scared, did Daniel leave something that belonged to him here? Because if he did, I'm going to be grounded, forever.

"Amanda, guess what I bought you?" She smiled sweetly.

I sighed, well it wasn't anything that belonged or belongs to Daniel. So I should be happy. Right?

"What is it mum?" My eyebrows knitted together.

"Here." She took hold of a pink bag, and took out a leathered black colored fabric. I squinted my eyes, and took my glasses that were resting on my night stand.
