Cole ran up to me and kissed me. I tangled my hands in his hair as his hands ran down my back. I felt good with him there, holding me. I moved one of my hands to hold his shoulder, pressing him closer to me. I felt the force of us getting stronger and I didn't know what was going to happen in the next few hours yet I didn't care.

I found myself in a heated daze, walking back home, hand-in-hand with Cole. We came into my house and sat on my bed. I loved when he kissed me, it felt like it was made to be. The two of us laid down on my bed and kissed one another. Cole kissed my neck and then, it just sort of happened. It was beautiful as well.

His hands on my body, exploring; mine doing the same.  Our breaths in sync with each other.  Like we were made to be together, as cliche that is.  It felt so good, I didn't even think about all the things that had happened.  It was just him and I, our bodies tangled together in hot passion.

When I woke I was wrapped in his arms. He was still sound asleep, snoring quietly in my ear. I giggled softly and turned my body slowly so I could face him.

He looked so peaceful while he slept. I placed my head in his chest and felt his grasp on me tighten. I looked up to see Cole was now awake, and smiling at me. I blushed and kissed his check.

As we laid there, we could hear the faint sound of the waves crashing on the shore. We both got up and dressed.  He turned so I could have some privacy, I didn't do the same for him however.

We got on our horses and rode into the forest. We sat in the small opening and sat down, doing nothing together.

We looked up to see that it was real close to noon and Cole went to get the bag of food from Carrie. I am so grateful that he is doing that for me.

As I sat alone waiting for him I heard something crack, like a branch, behind me. I thought it was Barnabis so I just laid down and shut my eyes.

"So," a voice that made me jump out of my skin said, "you are what has been pulling my brother from the house everyday. And pulling him away last night. Does he know you are a thief?"

I turned my head to see a man sitting on a horse and a younger one on a horse behind him. I slowly rose to my feet and said calmly

"I do not understand what you are implying sir."

The older boy laughed, "Do you know who I am?" He asked slyly.

I thought hard of when Cole had told me his brother's names. Which did he say was the older one? "Prince Robert." I said and he smiled.

"Hello thief. How would you like to be taken in? The hard way or the easy way?"

"Leave her alone Robert!" I heard Cole call from somewhere hidden. I felt the anger in Cole's when he spoke to his brother.

I watched as Cole appeared out of the trees with his sword drawn, the sack of food in his hand. Cole looked at me,

"Jeza, come take your food while I fight my brother." I walked over to him and grabbed the bag and whispered to him.

"Please be careful Cole, don't get hurt." Then I stepped back to the tree line as Robert got off of his horse, his sword out of it's seath as well.

The two of them walked around in a circle once and Cole was only a few feet in front of me. I can not believe this is all happening because of me.

Then Robert spoke "You know brother, just because you got father to cancel your wedding to Ashley does not mean he will let you marry a thief."

I became inflamed with rage when he called me a thief, he didn't know me. How would he know if I am a thief or not.

"She is not a thief. She is not even a member of Asaba, so she is free of any charges put upon her." Cole said to his brother, Robert just laughed

"Oh brother, are you really that thick-headed? She committed a crime in Asaba, so she will be convicted." Cole jumped at his brother with the sword and the two of them started to have at it.

As I watched in horror, Cole and his brother swung swords at each other.

I heard a sound behind me. It was a faint noise so I paid no attention to it. I looked across the way to see my sword, sitting so far away from me. I wondered to myself if maybe they would move in such a fashion that I would be able to run over and grab it.

Just as I saw my chance, I saw Cole's face go blank and he looked right at me. Did he know what I was going to do? Then I felt two arms wrap around my body. I screamed from the shock and fell to the ground as a way to try and free myself from this mysterious force.

I heard two sets of laughter when I was grabbed, one far off and one very close to my ear.

I looked up at who had grabbed me to see that it was Cole's younger brother Todd. When did he leave my sight from before? His grip on me tightened as he laughed at me struggling to get free. Then, Todd put his sword to my neck, I gasped from fear. Was he going to kill me?

Cole tried to walk forward but Todd pushed the blade closer to me and I yelped with the pain and fear of the cool, sharp metal that threatened my death.

"Not another step lover-boy," Robert sneered, "or your little toy gets it." Cole backed away and I felt the pressure leave my neck.

I noticed that Barnabis was going nuts in his reins, smacking them around and fighting to get out of them, he has never done that before, never tried to protect me so.  I had also never been in a situation like this before.

Cole started to plead with Robert to let me go, "Please brother, let Jezavette go." Robert only kept laughing at him and me.

"You think she will just get off that easily? Not in my kingdom!"

As Robert said this Barnabis got out of his reins and started running towards me and Todd.

"Barnie! NO!" I cried out as he got closer to us. I knew I had to do something, so I lifted myself and put myself between Barnabis and Todd.

Barnabis tried to stop but couldn't, slamming into us and sending us to the ground. Luckily that means that I was out of Todd's grip, yet I hit a small rock sticking out in the ground with my stomach. All the air in my body left in one gasp and I laid there trying to regain my breath.

"Todd! Get her!" Robert called out as the haze of the prior events left my head. I shifted to see Todd get up and head towards me. I lifted my feet up, hitting him in the face as he bent down to grab me.

He flew back with a moan and Cole ran up behind me to lift me to my feet. I winced with the pain coming from my chest. I looked back at his brothers as Todd sat up, blood streaking down from his forehead. The look of it made me feel sick and the injury from my stomach was draining all of my energy, I held onto Cole with all the leftover strength that I had.

I felt my eyes start to close and my body go numb.  I watched as both Robert and Todd ran off to their horses and out of sight.  Cole tried to call my attention, but I was slipping away.
