Author's Note: Yes, we're tweaking the timeline a little bit yet again. You'll hear some events here that happened in the first episode(s) of TBB, but Order 66 still hasn't happened. Hopefully it all still flows... It made sense in our brains! ;)

You sat in a daze on the civilian transport ship, watching the parade of species milling about. They were mostly Wookiees and humans, but the crowd was also punctuated with fascinating creatures that you surreptitiously tried to study without staring. It still felt like you were in a dream, but Crosshair's arm draping around your shoulders brought your senses to the present. A warbled announcement played over the speakers as you heard the ship's engines powering up, and the remaining passengers settled in their seats.

"So, explain the plan to me again?" you whispered to him, tucking yourself against his side so you could hear his quiet words, hidden beneath his helmet.

"We need to replicate Tech's design as quickly as possible. He's bringing the necessary equipment back to Coruscant so the others can help, and so that he can get more materials from the shipyard."

"I can't believe he figured it out in a few days," you marveled.

"I know," Crosshair replied dryly, "He's losing his touch."

You laughed, moving a hand to his thigh plate. "So you make a bunch of them... and distribute them throughout the entire clone army without anyone finding out?" You frowned, considering the unlikeliness of success with so many people and variables.

"Tech built them inside of datapads, so it will look inconspicuous. Rex and Cody are coming up with a plan of how to disperse them as quickly as possible. I think the hard part will be convincing the clones to do it -- all we have is a story of one clone who went a little haywire. They might be afraid it will affect them negatively."

"Ahh, good point," you mused, "But I suppose the fact that there's a chip in your head, that no one knows about or understands, should be enough for them to want to make sure it's not something harmful, no?"

Crosshair shrugged, helmet lifting as he gazed out the window across from you, "They're regs. Who knows."

That evening, you found yourself in a deserted hangar deep in the Coruscant underworld, a safe gathering spot thanks to some friends Rex had gotten in touch with. You were surrounded by a small semi-circle of clones – your Batch boys, Fives, Tup, Rex (plus a smattering of clones you hadn't met before bearing his blue and white colors) – and a handful of others in orange paint that you were told belonged to the 212th battalion under Commander Cody. You all gathered around Tech, who was illustrating the design and instructing them in its assembly and function.

"I mean, it sounds simple enough," said Fives, who had been hiding here with Tup ever since they escaped Kamino, "But you're gonna trust us to make them all? What if we mess up?"

"It is the most strategic approach, considering our time and resources," Tech countered. "I shall inspect each completed item for final approval, which will be far quicker than me single-handedly constructing them all."

"What, an ARC Trooper is afraid of a little soldering?" teased Echo from his perch on a nearby crate.

"Don't you start," Fives growled animatedly.

"We must maintain a singular focus and rapid yet precise craftsmanship. I fear that the Kaminoans may already be making alternate plans due to Fives and Tup escaping with the evidence. It may cause them to activate the chips earlier than they had anticipated, although we still do not yet know for what purpose," Tech continued.
