Twenty-Five

Thor was in shock, seeing her stop Mjolnir, her hand gripping the head of it. He tried to summon it back, but it didn't budge from her hold... 'How is that possible?..'.. His voice wavered, trying not to show fear.

Astrid smirked at him, as she held it... 'Oh Thor. You have no idea, what I'm capable of..'.. She sneered and squeezed it, sending all her power into it, and shattered the hammer into pieces. They fell to the floor, broken, and useless... 'You felt the pain, the torture. The heartbreak of losing one close to you. And now your power..'.. She brushed her hands off, putting them on her hips... 'Now to feel the betrayal..'

'What more could you do to me?..'.. Nat held back her tears at Thors words, and at the loss of her friend, one she loved. She had stopped fighting against Astrids hold on her, it was clear now, that she was stronger than them all, if she managed to subdue Hulk, and break Thors hammer. Nat never got to tell Bruce how she really felt. She looked around, seeing pain and sadness in the others.

Astrid chuckled, and took a few steps back, turning her head to Bucky... 'What was it I told you, that night at the bar?..'

Bucky shook his head, he couldn't even think past as to what just happened.... 'I-I don't know..'

'That you should check that a woman isn't taken, before propositioning her...'.. She held up her left hand, showing her ring... 'Did I forget to mention, that I'm married?..'

'What?..'.. Loki was utterly confused... 'You married? A mortal? How long have you been here?..'

'Long enough. I found a new family, friends. I even have my own business, married after the fall of SHIELD..'.. She smiled at Loki..  'You'll like him brother, you'd get along well..'

'Who the fuck would marry you?..'.. Tony spat out, glaring at her... 'You're fucking crazy. You killed one of ours, and I'm going to kill you..'

'No..'.. Loki said, and the others turned their heads to him... 'No, angelians cannot kill humans. They were tasked thousands of years ago to watch over this world and its creatures. That's not real..'.. He nodded his head to Banners body on the floor... 'Its an illusion..'

'Very good brother..'.. She waved her hand, making it disappear... 'Do not worry, he is safe. I did say you Avengers were innocent..'

Nat let out a sob, feeling relief wash through her that it wasn't real... 'Where is he?..'.. She asked, trying to control her emotions.

'From what I can gather, heading here now..'... She nodded in the direction of the labs, and Bruce walked in, gun in hand, aiming for the woman in front of them all... 'Welcome Dr Banner..'

'Let them go..'.. He walked forward, cautiously.

'Bruce, we need the other guy..'.. Tony tells him.

'Power dampening is on in the compound. I've tried to get into the system, but I'm locked out..'.. He flicked the safety off, keeping his eyes on the woman... 'That was twisted, seeing my own death..'

Her husband chuckled in her head, and Astrid grinned at Banner before her, and bowed dramatically...  'Why thank you. I thought I did very well. It was hard to create an illusion of you, but I think I did a good job..'
