6. Stealing from Pirates

Ace turned to his other brother, 'Let's do this, I want to be able to help him if he needs us.'. Sabo just looked at him and continued running toward the store, 'It wasn't your fault you know, Luffy probably already forgot about it.' Ace's expression turned dark, 'That doesn't mean I should forget about it.'. 'I'm not saying that you should but don't blame yourself. Blame the Don Krieg Pirates. ' Sabo said with venom but he left it at that. At the front of the store Sabo explained his plan quickly.

They calmly walked into the store and Sabo approached the owner with his nicest smile. Ace stayed at the front seemingly interested in a metal cage with a bird in it. 'Hello sir, our father will be here any minute,' Sabo looked back at the door as if that man could walk in right now, 'And he always hates my curiosity but would you show me to the safe with the longest code and the hardest to break into? I find it pretty cool how these things are made you see.'. Sabo gave the man another smile who then smiled back, 'Off course, come here this one has 9 numbers, -'. Ace couldn't hear the rest of the conversation so he grabbed one of the smaller safes and slowly to pushed it outside.

When he managed to get it outside some people looked at him weird so he forced a smile on his face and said, 'My dad is still inside he will be here any minute.'. The people who looked at his than smiled at him and continued walking, Ace waited a second then called inside 'Oi, Sabo, father wants to go to a different store. We got to go!'. Sabo heard his brother calling so looked at the man with a sad smile, 'I'm so sorry for bothering you with my questions. I hope you have a nice day!'. Sabo then dashed through the store towards his brother, grabbed one side of the safe and they quickly walked away. On their way to their home Ace told Sabo to stop real quick, they put the safe down and Ace climbed the wall. He grabbed the massive black t-shirt and climbed back down. Sabo gave him a grin that he returned and they continued on with their journey. The store owner had been very happy to explain to a curious child how his job worked that he didn't realize that he had been robbed until it was too late.

Luffy ran over the docks to the side where the big ships dock, not too far from Luffy there was a platform nearly the size of the ship itself filled with boxes and crates. Luffy looked at the boat that had a whale as figure head and had to admit that that was pretty cool. And it was way bigger than Shanks ship, Luffy grabbed his straw hat for a second before turning his mind to the task. He didn't want Ace and Sabo to have to do everything. Luffy ducked behind a crate and looked at the three men standing in the middle of the platform and all the food.

'That's Pineapplehead and Breadhead maybe I could ask them for the food. Maybe they are nice people, they look nice.' Luffy thought tilting his head then he shook it. 'No Ace said I had to steal without getting caught, I have to help my brothers.' Luffy thought with determination. When pineapple head and the crossdresser walked towards the boat and onto the gangway Luffy dared to get closer. Luffy himself was now at the edge of the platform from here he could see bags of rice at the end of one of the rows and bags with vegetables at the end of the other. Breadhead still had his back turned so Luffy stretched his arm, grabbed ahold of two bags of rice and retracted his arm. He then placed the food further away on the pier. He did the exact same with two bags of vegetables, now for meat he had to sneak around a bit before he found it. His mouth started to water just thinking about cooking that meat, so he stretched both arms grabbed four pieces of meat and retracted his arms. Then he was ready to sneak back to the rest of the food Luffy noticed he walked past a med-kit. Makino used to have one of these, so he grabbed it with his teeth and slowly and silently made a run towards the rest of the food. Luffy had to stretch his arms to fit all the food but once he got it he ran back to their home.

Thatch was holding back his laugh, following the kid with his observation Haki, that kid had some nerve stealing from the Whitebeard Pirates. He walked onto the Moby Dick with a smile on his face and immediately headed to his Oyaji. Several commanders were sitting or standing next to him, talking and enjoying their relaxing time. 'What are you smiling about, son?' Whitebeard asked Thatch with a smile on his own face. 'I'm pretty sure a seven year old kid just stole some food from us and I wanted to know what you want me to do?' Thatch said and the other commanders fell silent. 'Gurarararara what a dumb kid!' Whitebeard laughed, Izou looked a bit surprised and Marco just entertained. 'Why didn't you stop him when you saw him stealing yoi?' Marco asked his brother. 'Well I didn't see him stealing anything to be honest,' Thatch responded, 'I didn't notice him at first. I felt a presence with my Haki so I didn't move and used that to check everything out. The kid used a Devil Fruit power to say far away but still grab a few bags of food. When he had everything he sneaked away. '. There was a silence and everyone looked at Oyaji waiting for his answer, 'You said he was seven years old?'. Thatch nodded, 'I think so.'. Whitebeard looked at Thatch, 'I want to talk to him, go get him for me. '. Thatch nodded to his Oyaji and walked back to the gangway, Marco and Izou fell in step besides him which made him grin. That kid was going to be terrified when he realized who exactly he stole from.

Back at their boat Ace and Sabo had just put the safe and the money away when Luffy came into view. Arms full of food and a med-kit between his teeth Luffy was running top speed towards his brother, he had looked back once and only then seen that the massive ship had a pirate flag on all three of the masts. On the boat he let go of the med-kit and still gasping for air managed to say, 'That boat was a pirate ship, I just noticed on my way back.'. The older brothers looked at each other in shock, 'We need to go now!' Sabo said. Ace walked towards the mast, 'Luffy put the food away, and help with the jib!'. But then Thatch jumped in front of Ace, 'And where do you brats think you're going?'.

Luffy, Sabo and Ace all three grabbed their knives and looked at the pirates. 'Shit, we're not going to get captured again.' Ace's thought, giving the three men a glare that could kill someone. Sabo's glare was almost just as hateful but Luffy just looked with a mix of mistrust and curiosity. Izou and Marco were still standing on the pier and were surprised at the kids reactions, not only that they were ready to fight in less than a second but that their eyes held real hatred. Macro also didn't miss the black flag laying on the floor of their boat and the cuts and bruises that covered them, these kids were pirates?

Thatch was quick to grab Ace's arm that held his knife, but Ace let his knife fall from his hand grabbed it with his other and cut Thatch's arm that was holding him. Thatch let go of Ace with a surprised hiss, Marco just raised his brows and Izou grabbed one of his guns and aimed it at Ace. Izou knew that these kids were no ordinary kids, he wouldn't actually shoot them but they needed to know their place. Plus they seemed stupid enough to want to fight. For the first time Ace's eyes held fear because Luffy went to stand in front of his older brother now looking mad at the crossdresser. 'Don't you dare hurt my brother.' Luffy said with anger seeping through still holding his knife ready. This surprised the older men only more, but Izou said, 'Look kid you stole from the Whitebeard Pirates. Oyaji wants to talk to you so either you come willingly or we're taking you.'.
