The Whitebeard pirates had fought with the Navy ship for a short while before leaving the island. It was Garp's ship but Garp didn't show his face so they assumed he wasn't present. That explained why the ship attacked, only young ambitious marines with a big ego would be stupid enough to attack Whitebeard at his own island. Whitebeard had simply used his Devil Fruit and sunk the ship. Now they were following the brats and their little ship that could be seen in the distance, with their three masts it would take less than twenty minutes to catch up to them.
Luffy was sitting close to the rudder bored out of his mind when the ship was enveloped in a shadow. He stood up to check if it was a storm that was incoming when he noticed the massive ship next to them. He had twist his neck al the way back to see the people standing at the rail and kicked his brothers leg, 'Ace, the pirates followed us.'. Ace woke with a start looked at the ship and cursed the pirates.
Before they could stop it landed Marco on top of their cabin, 'Oi brats, Oyaji still wants to talk to you yoi.'. Ace stepped in front of his little brother looking mad, 'We already spoke to him and he said we could keep the food, so what more do you want?'.
Luffy had his head tilted to the side, 'Okay, I'll talk to him.'.
Ace had a tick above his head and bonked his little brother hard on the head. 'What do you mean you will talk to him, stupid.' Ace said with venom in his voice.
He didn't notice that Macro was tying ropes to the back of their boat that came from the deck of the Moby Dick, with a small smile on his face. Ace and Luffy were still arguing when he walked to the front of the boat completely unbothered and did the same there. 'Oi, what happened to your other brother yoi?' Marco asked looking around the boat a bit worried.
Luffy had his arms wrapped around his brother multiple times so that Ace couldn't hit him any more when they both looked at the strange pirate again. Marco couldn't help but chuckle at their antics, Luffy let his brother go again who looked pissed. 'He is resting in the cabin.' Ace said and gave Marco one angry glare who just looked thoughtful back.
'You know, our nurses could take a look at his eye, if you guys come with me to talk to pops yoi.'.
Marco said hoping this would work. Luffy looked happy towards Ace, but Ace shut it down quickly, 'No you're not going to bring him into your ship. We would never be able to find him!'.
'I didn't say anything about bringing him aboard the Moby, I was thinking to bring the nurses down here yoi.' Marco said who noticed that Ace was thinking it over.
'You bring the nurses here and let them take care of Sabo first, then we will see if we go talk to the old man' Ace said looking Marco dead in the eye, Marco was a bit mad that the kid had called his Oyaji an old man but let it slide. He turned his arms into wings and went to explain everything to Oyaji.
After explaining to Pops the deal that he made with the brats, Marco helped the head nurse down to their boat and he and Izou went along for protection. Tate, the head nurse, thought this was too much but forgot that thought when looking at Ace's hateful eyes. The boy with the straw hat behind him looked at her with a happy smile, one that could light up your whole day.
Both these boys looked like they needed medical attention with all sorts of wounds covering their body's but when she offered both shook their heads.
'Sabo is inside, you need to check out his eye. A bomb explosion burned his eye.' Ace said to the nurse, stepping to the side to stay between her and Luffy. Tate nodded and went inside, these kids didn't seem to trust anyone and pushing didn't seem like a good idea right now. Sabo woke up a bit and the nurse asked if she could take a look at his wound, after getting confirmation from his brothers he agreed. The nurse started with checking Sabo's heartbeat and blood pressure before turning to his head wound.
