27~ Alone Together

"It wasn't your fault for being away for so long, you didn't make that decision." I closed my eyes, hoping she would think I was tired and also doze off.

Before I could open my eyes I could hear her snoring softly. I peeked one eye open and saw her and Kade passed out. This is my chance. I slowly creep out of bed and head downstairs, to go call the guys.

I whipped out my phone once I got down and headed out through the two glass doors, leading you out to the pool, "Hey, JJ." I called, "Hey man, we're all here." Everyone said hello, "Yo, you good Roman?" Valentino said, "Yeah I just...tomorrow is Hazel and mine-"

"Anniversary." They said in unison.

"Yeah we knew about a week ago, we weren't sure whether you celebrated it all these years or kind of...left it." For the past two and a half years I never celebrated our anniversary because every day she came to visit me, my hallucinations could consume my day with her that I would lock myself in my house just so it was her and me.

I knew she wasn't with me, it was just nice to see her, hear her, unfortunately, I couldn't touch her.

I wander over to the small round table that sat by the pool on the grass, pulling out a chair, I sat down, leaning one arm on my knees.

"This will be the first year to celebrate it again and I want her to feel whole guys, I want her to feel natural and I think celebrating something so intimate will do just that." I rubbed the back of my neck, hoping my words would convince me too.

"Whatever you want us to do we are on board, Roman." Valentino said, "God, thank you guys, I want to throw a small something for her tomorrow night, I'm going to ask Ryan and Kyle in the morning to help us-"

"There is no need to wait till morning." My brows creased as I looked up at Ryan and Kyle, taking a seat infront of me, "Hey guys," I smiled, "How can we make this day special for her." Ryan said while grinning.

I put the phone on speaker, "Nevermind guys, they're here now." Everyone said hello, "So I was thinking, I want to keep it close and intimate for now. She hasn't seen or spoken to anyone else and I don't think she can handle that sudden notice of everyone turning up." Kyle and Ryan nodded in unison, agreeing with what I was saying.

"So, you, Kyle, Ryan, Kade, and the boys." I looked down at the phone, "Yeah, she will be happy with all of us here." I said, answering Peter.

"She will love it no matter what you do Roman." I smiled sincerely at him, "This is all possible because of you guys." Kyle put his hand on my shoulder while Ryan cupped the side of my cheek.

"Thank you, without you both being so understanding about the whole thing she wouldn't be as happy as she is right now." I saw a few tears trickle down Ryan's cheek, his husband wiping them away and kissing his cheek.

"Do you wanna go somewhere to have it?" Valentino asked, "Nope, home is right where it will be, the comfort of her home."

"Okay..." Valentino dragged as if he was doing something else while listening, "What about food? Drinks? Gifts? Decorations?" I thought about it for a moment, "We can call some people to do it for us?" JJ said, "No! This is their anniversary it has to be special and memorable!" Ryan insisted.

"How about this," Ryan chimed, "Kyle and I will take the day off tomorrow. Roman, do you and Hazel mind looking after Kade tomorrow?" I shook my head, denying him, happy to look after their kid.

"Great! Kyle and I will go to the store tomorrow morning and buy everything. You boys meet me at their house to set up the decor and food."

"Awesome! Everyone bring your swimsuits! We can have an anniversary party/pool party!" He all laughed at Peter's childishness. God, I see why Kade loves Peter so much now.
