The journey was long and silent as far as conversation between me and Steve was concerned, me and the radio however, we got along just fine. I sang along to a few songs that I knew and I kept watching the SatNav to see how long we had left of the journey. It was just going past eight am and the traffic was starting to build up, so I just wanted to get to the house and then spend the rest of the day away from Steve.

I knew it the second we were in Peachville, even if I hadn't have saw the sign. It just looked like it and when we pulled up to the house, the removal trucks were already there and moving things inside which was a relief. We pulled up onto the drive way and the second the car was parked, I unclipped my seatbelt and got out to say hello to the removal guys. I followed one of them in to see the house and it looked really nice from the outside so I needed to see what the inside looked like. As I walked in the door there was a hall way with stairs heading up and a door to my right leading into the living room, I continued going straight along the hallway, seeing a doorway into the kitchen. The kitchen was a decent size with a lovely window that looked out onto the garden. There was a door to the left which led to a utility room and a door to the garage. To the left of the kitchen, another doorway that led into a dining room which also opened up into the living room. I could literally run a lap through the downstairs but I decided not to, just incase anyone thought I was being a little weird. I headed into the dining room and then opened up the French doors, stepping out into the garden. It was gorgeous.

Sand coloured paving stones that went a few feet out and then it was neatly cut grass and I was a little excited to see I had garden furniture and that the garden got morning sunshine which was great because I loved the sunshine, I'd definitely make use of it. I headed back inside and then cut through the living room and went out the door, putting me back to the front door and I then headed upstairs.

When I cleared the top of the stairs, there was a bathroom to my left and as I turned right, there was a master bedroom with an ensuite which was really pretty. Another lovely big window that overlooked the garden and let me see over to the neighbours. I headed back out and there was another room, which made my jaw drop. I was totally expecting a spare bedroom, somewhere for Steve to sleep but what greeted me was a huge walk in closet. The walls were filled with clothes, half were mine and the other half were his. The middle of the room had an island that was full of ties, underwear and socks, I came back out of it and was hoping to find another door but there was none.

"Oh my god." I whispered to nobody in particular and then headed downstairs, I needed to have a word with Steve whether he fucking liked it or not because I definitely wasn't sharing a bed with him. I ran down the stairs and headed outside, stumbling as I saw Steve chatting to a couple. I recognised them straight away, it was Grayson and Lauren Phillipson and I found myself heading over to them. They all looked at me as I made my way over and I was a little surprised at Steve for acting super quick, hanging his arm over my shoulder.

"Here she is! This is my wife Maddison." He squeezed me into him. "Honey, this is Grayson and Lauren."

"Hi! Nice to meet you." I smiled and then held my hand out for them to shake. "You'll have to excuse my chaotic appearance. It's been a long morning of travelling and now unpacking!" I shook their hands and then cleared my throat.

"Welcome to the neighbourhood." Grayson smiled and Steve pulled his arm away from me. "I was just saying to your husband that we saw the trucks so we thought we'd say hi on our way to run some errands, I knew you were moving in but I didn't realise it was today."

"That's very sweet of you." I grinned. "I'd offer you a drink but I've not been for groceries yet!"

"Oh, don't worry about it." Lauren laughed. "We don't want to get in the way today. We just wanted to introduce ourselves and meet the newest arrivals onto the block."
