I woke up and stretched, rolled over and nearly shit myself as I almost head butted Steve in the process. I just managed to stop myself before my forehead smashed into his nose and I rolled onto my back, exhaling in relief before I slipped out of bed. I glanced back at Steve and he looked pretty comfortable but he stirred as the bed moved, so I tiptoed into the ensuite to brush my teeth and take a quick shower. I was only in the shower around five minutes and then I grabbed a towel, wrapped it around me and snuck out of the ensuite and then the bedroom and went into the walk in, getting dressed for the day.

When I went back into the bedroom, Steve wasn't in the bed so I assumed he was either in the ensuite or downstairs. I went downstairs and saw him the kitchen, he was already dressed for work and making a coffee, so I just waked in and cleared my throat and he turned to look at me. He wordless slid me a mug of coffee and and smiled at me, so I just picked it up and nodded.

"Thanks."

"Madd, I had a great sleep last night. Thanks for letting me share the bed, I haven't slept that good since before we got here, so I appreciate it." He stood tall and puffed his chest out which I thought was a little weird but I understood how a good nights sleep could work its magic so I was putting it down to that.

"You're welcome." I smiled before I sipped my coffee. "Just stay in the bed and we can go to that outdoors place at the weekend." I nodded. "Get you a new air mattress."

"Sounds good." He smiled. "So, I'm gonna head to work. Can I take one of those muffins? They're really nice."

"Help yourself, Steve." I took my coffee into the living room and put on the news, seeing what was going on in the world and I tucked my knees up to my chest and yawned, yet another new week to do nothing. I was starting to get bored now, I needed to find myself a hobby or I was gonna go nuts.

"See you later!" Steve called out to me from the front door and I turned and waved at him before going back to watching the news with my coffee. I missed my caramel latte and cinnamon swirl in the morning and it made me a little sad, even more so ,that I didn't think to make cinnamon swirls yesterday.

I remembered there was that small coffee place in the town square and decided I could take a walk and see about getting a caramel latte, maybe have a browse and see what there was because last time I was in the car and I didn't really have time to see it all. I switched off the TV and went into the kitchen, poured my coffee down the sink because I didn't want to have too much coffee today, and then headed upstairs to dry my hair.

Once my hair was dry, I threw a few things into my bag and then headed out, it was nice and warm today and I thought a walk would do me good. The last time I went for a walk - or dramatic run, I was barefoot and it was raining and this was a world away from that. There were a few houses on my way into town and they were all Stepford approved just like mine, I kind of wondered who lived in them and I still thought this town was weird, it made me miss my apartment but at least the weather was better here.

It took me twenty minutes to get into town which wasn't so bad and I headed straight for the coffee place, there wasn't really a queue since it was a little after ten and I got myself a caramel latte, they had cinnamon swirls for sale but had obviously sold out because the tray was empty and so I just took my drink and went for a wander. It didn't take me long to realise there wasn't much to see, just a few little stores, the bank and everything else was cafes and restaurants.

I approached one of the restaurants, it looked pretty nice at first glance. It was an Italian place and was clearly only open on the evenings, according to the menu. It looked like it was a really nice menu and I thought about making a reservation for it, I always ate alone at restaurants back home so it wouldn't bother me doing it here. I jumped as I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder and I spun around, almost dropping my coffee in the process.
