Watching guys get the shit beat of out them wasn't my idea of a good time. I winced as another one hit the ground. "That was a good one." I gave David a concerned look, was he actually enjoying this? I shook my head at him, and my eyes landed on her. She was one of the most beautiful girls I'd ever seen. When our gazes met a part of me wanted to go over and talk to her. But she turned round and I'm pretty sure she left with that Dexter guy. Everyone knew about Dexter; he was bad news. You wouldn't expect an 18-year-old to scare many people but once you took a look at him you understood. He was an intimidating guy, with plenty of friends happy to help him get rid of people. What was a pretty girl like her doing with a monster like him?

"Earth to Sebastian." I broke out of my thoughts when David said my name. "What are you staring at?" There were so many things in here I could be staring at. Mainly, gang deals, dudes with no teeth and suspiciously squinty noses, and more blood than I'd ever seen. I had not expected to see such a gorgeous girl.
"Nothing, just wondering why I ever bother to listen to you," I replied. David was the one who decided we come here tonight. I should never have let him talk me into it because this place actually scared me. I may be a big shot at school, but this wasn't school and I'm sure every guy here could easily beat me to death. Plus, they all had their buddies to back them up. Me, I only had David, and he was beyond useless in a fight.

"Because I'm a very wise person and everyone should listen to me." He said. Just then I felt a hand smack the back of my head.
"Will you two shut the fuck up." A voice threatened. It was David's brother Sam. He was the reason we'd managed to get in the door. He knew everyone here and was able to get us in. Apparently, his boss meant something around here, some guy called Tyson.
"Why are you in such a bad mood?" David asked, rubbing the back of his head. Looks like Sam had hit him too.
"Because one of the conditions of you two coming here was that you kept a low profile," Sam told him. "Unless you want the shit beaten out of you, shut up." He warned. David looked like he was about to reply, but he then thought better of it.

We watched more fights before Sam told us to follow him. "Where are we going?" David asked the same question I wanted to be answered.
"You two lucky twats are going to meet Tyson," Sam told us. He leads us over to a secluded part of the room. Two big guys wearing only black were standing on either side of a sofa. On the sofa sat a man with a barely clothed girl on each side of him. He looked like he was in his early 20s. If this is the big bad Tyson, then he is definitely not what I was expecting.
"Ah, Sam. Good to see you again. I hear you've got something for me." The man said. Sam stepped forward, pulled a big pile of money out of his jacket pocket and handed it to the man. "I take it everything went well." Sam nodded.
"Like clockwork Tyson."
"And who are these two?" Tyson asked looking at David and me.
"This is my little brother David and a friend of his, Sebastian," Sam told him. Tyson nodded but his eyes were diverted when someone else appeared.

A third guy in black clothes joined us, followed by a guy I recognised. It was Greg from school. He was Dexter's best friend and those two always seemed to be together. "Where is he?" Tyson asked.
"I think he went out to fuck your sister," Greg said casually. Tyson's face changed, man he was scary when he was pissed.
"I should have remembered you were the funny one." Tyson narrowed his eyes at Greg. I would've hated to be on the receiving end of that look, but Greg looked unaffected by it. Tyson looked at his three bodyguards and nodded his head in Greg's direction. "Now tell me, where is Dexter." Greg stood up straighter.
"Fuck, you," Greg said each word slowly and almost spat them out. Just after he finished a fist collided with his stomach. The two girls who were beside Tyson gasped in shock, clearly not expecting that to happen. But instead of running off like I thought they would, they stayed where they were, looking a bit more uncomfortable than before.
"I'll ask you again. Where is he?" Greg didn't bother to reply. He was then granted with another hit. I wanted to look away, this was too weird for me.
"Don't," Sam whispered to me and David. "If you turn away, you'll take his place." So, I watched as he kept getting punched, and every time Greg was hit, I kept wondering if I should try and help him. It's not like I'd be much help anyway.

As the scene played out, I kept wondering why Tyson was looking for Dexter. Just then two other guys appeared, shoving their way throw the crowd. "Stop it, Tyson." The taller one, with blonde hair, told him.
"Are either of you going to tell me where he went?" Tyson asked them.
"Why do you care?" the brunette asked, "He's going to say no anyway. He always does."
"This time I'm sure he'll change his mind," Tyson replied with a sick grin. The bodyguards, who'd stopped hitting Greg when the others showed up, walked over to the two guys arguing with Tyson.

"Call off your dogs, Tyson." Another voice said. We all turned around to see a blue-haired emo watching us. I recognised him from hanging around with Greg and Dexter at school. "Unless you want me to turn them into little puppies running home with their tails between their legs." The emo continued. Greg and the other two started laughing quietly.
"Colin, what brings you here?" Tyson asked, standing up for the first time.
"Let's skip the pleasantries," Colin told him. "Dexter isn't here. Deal with it. But feel free to leave a message." Tyson looked even more pissed now.
"Fine." He spat the word out like it was poison. "Tell your boss that I may or may not have discovered his dirty little secret. So, he might wanna consider having a chat with me before someone else finds out too." Tyson said, looking over at Greg, who was still standing tall even though he looked pretty beaten up.

Greg, Colin and the other two left shortly after that. "Have you really found something we can use against him?" Sam asked Tyson as he sat down again. The two girls immediately threw themselves at him again. Tyson just nodded in response to Sam's question, looking very pleased with himself.
"I've got another job for you, Sam," Tyson told Sam passing him a piece of folded paper from his pocket. "It was nice meeting you two." He said to me and David as Sam dragged us away and out the door.

"What the hell was all that?" David asked when we were outside. We were walking to Sam's car and to be honest I didn't really know what to think about what just happened. "Why did you take us to see him?" David was rambling again.
"Because I knew that you two know Dexter," Sam said as we reached his car. "I knew that he went to your school."
"So, you were using us?" David looked pissed off now.
"No, I was giving you two a way in." we both looked at him like he had gone insane. "If you two manage to bring Dexter to Tyson and convince him to join us then Tyson will happily give you two a space in the gang, along with anything else you want."
"What makes you think we want to join?" I asked.
"Because you wouldn't have come tonight if you weren't the least bit interested." This was not how I'd expected my Thursday night to go.
