Kipo and the world beyond

Story time

It's in 3 days since Dr. Emilia made off with a giant bird. Dave was right about Cappuccino being willing to loan them her ship surprisingly it's a very good condition for how old it is. Cappuccino was even nice enough to supply them with some tasty food before they made on their way. Kipo and her friends along several other mutes and humans tagged along to help Kipo and her friends with their Journey. Some of the mutes and people have been getting a little cabin fever being on the board for so long mainly because they've never been on for this long before, the Timber cats are the most affected by this because they dislike water.

Benson and Dave aren't too affected by all this, but Benson does miss his boyfriend very much Is was wondering how he's doing. Dave has more or less been sleeping the whole time so nothing much there. Wolf has been anxious the whole trip, not really for where they're heading but because of her large dogs back home, with her giant Corgi just having puppies she's worried that they might get in trouble so she's been pacing back and forth quite a lot. Kipo... well she's been very preoccupied with her own thoughts...After so long of thinking that she'd finally brought peace between humans and mutes all this happens, it's a lot for her to think over. Kipo's parents have been keeping to themselves a little bit, mainly it's just because Song is trying to figure out a way how to explain all this to everyone and Lio trying to be a supportive husband.

Everyone else about this ship has just been very anxious about exactly where they've been going. Having never left Los vistas before. The humming bomber, they now know as Missile, has been staying at the head of the boat showing exactly where to go, they've been following the same path for ever since they left Las Vistas. So far everything has been very quiet since they left, there's been the occasional mega mute that would come up and bother the ship a little bit from time to time. Nothing Kipo couldn't handle without powers. Kipo now just stands at the edge of the boat and just looks out at the water. Now that she's alone with her thoughts again, she wonders what exactly the rest of the world is going through right now. She was able to help the people of Las Vistas, but she had remembered there's an entire world out there full of who knows how many mutes and humans, and she wonders if any of them have suffered as all the others have, been forced to do things they didn't want to, that have died at the hands of another. All these thoughts flood her brain and she just can't help but feel somewhat guilty for not going out there sooner and trying to help out.

Kipo talked to her friends about it and they've tried to convince her that none of this is her fault and that there was no point in going out there before now. She understood what they were trying to tell her, but she couldn't shut the feeling that she could have at least done something. Kipo just stands alone again with her thoughts, that is until she gets startled by Dave poking her leg. "Whoa easy there, you all right?" Dave asks like a friend. Kipo sighs and just goes back to looking at the water. "Sorry, been thinking a lot more lately..." Dave just looks at her. "Your mom sent me to come and get you, she's ready to start talking." That made Kipo perk up a bit. She followed Dave until they all got to the deck, where the rest of the Kipo's friends are. "Hey everyone... I told you I would tell you what I know and to be honest... I don't know much but I have a feeling I know happening... you only want to sit down..."

 Song takes a deep breath and starts speaking. "As you all know, Kipo isn't normal, and that is because before she was born we had infused her DNA with that of apex predators, and if I'm going, to be honest, the idea came to me through a little bit of inspiration of another project... one that belonged to my best friend." Everyone looks at Song with confusion. "It all started years ago back before I was an Oak.-"

(Flashback 30 years ago.)

A much younger-looking Song, walking down the hallways of her burrow on the way to her biology class. She walks by a group of guys and one of the guys happens to be Lio Oak at the time. She blushes and holds her breath as she walks by him, once he's a good distance away she breathes out a relief sigh. Then someone behind her pops a paper bag scaring her. "Hahahahahaha, you should have seen the look on your face! 'AAAAAHHHH' hahaha, priceless!" She has a small smile and shoves them in the shoulder playfully. "All right, you had your fun, aren't you supposed to be heading to class?" "And what? Miss a chance to mess with my best friend? heck no. Besides, your life would be pretty boring if I didn't mess with you every single moment I got." Song rolls her eyes. "It'd be a lot quieter that's for sure." Song's friend looks visibly hurt. "Gasp! How dare you say that about our friendship after everything we've been through together, oh the pain oh the pain!" He yells. "Simon! Stop it, you're making a scene!" Song whisper yells. "Oh that's not a scene, this is!" He pulls the fire alarm. "Simon are you nuts!?" "Yes"
