Kipo Pov

My brain was pounding against my skull. "Ugh...." I tried to sit up, but I felt my wrists were tied together. "Huh?" I try and get my surroundings, I find that I'm under the stump of a large free, light peeking through openings in the roots. My vision adjusted to the lighting and I was able to see Rook looking terrified as he pointed a stick at my head. "uh... What's going on here?..." He slowly puts it down. "Kipo?.... Are you...you?" He asks. "What do you mean? Of course I'm me, who else would I be?" Rook gets closer, pulling my chin closer to his face, my face was heating up! "Uh R-Rook!?" "Hmm, you seem to be alright now" He lets my face go and I take a chance to take a deep breath, while calming down, I see he's wearing some herbs around his neck. "Uh what's with the necklace?" "These are to mask my scent, whatever the heck happened to you, my scent was what triggered it." I look at him confused. "What do you mean "triggered" I don't understand, and why am I tied up?" "...YOU TRIED TO EAT ME! AND YOU WERE CLOSE TO BITING MY HEAD OFF, AND YOU BROKE MY WING...ugh" He clutches his shoulder and I see his wing. "O-oh my gosh... R-Rook I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over me..." I started to remember and I felt so ashamed of my actions, I gave into my animal instincts and I almost killed Rook. "It's... It's fine... I'm just glad you're back to normal now... Here let me get those vines off-" "NO!" I pulled away. "Don't, Keep them on!" "Why?" "I... I don't know what's happening to me... My instincts and body are acting in ways I never felt before... I don't want to lose control again and hurt you... You're my friend and I'd hate to hurt you again..." 

Rook leaned forward and pulled me into a hug. "It's OK, we all... lose ourselves sometimes" I'd hug him back if I could. He breaks the hug and smiles at me. "Thanks Rook, I really-" "SHH!" He covers my mouth, and looks scared. Loud stomps are heard outside, looking I see it, Apex. "I hate that thing, stay quiet." He whispers. I try and stay quiet, but the I can smell his hand, his scent making my head foggy again. I know I need to stay quiet, but with him so close I feel like I'm melting. "Mmmm!" "Kipo shush!" I can't help it, it feels like my body is getting hotter, WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME!?

Apex towering over everything around it, it scans the area with it's visor, seeing the broken trees laying across the ground, it settles it's sites on a few grey feathers on the ground. Using it's large hands it picks up a feather, and scans it. ".....726...." It clenches the feather in it's hand and engages it's thrusters and flies away. 

Rook seeing it leave, sighs in relief and look so see Kipo with her Jaguar eyes again. "Ahhh!" He quickly backs away and hold his stick up towards her. Kipo looking quite flustered, quickly shakes her head. "Nononononoonono! Keep it together Oak!" She takes a deep breath, and calms down. "I think you need more herbs, I can still smell you..." Rook lowers the stick. "Alright... come on, lets get out from this hole." Rook crawls out from under the tree, and pulls Kipo out after him. Kipo holding her nose as to not smell his scent. "I'm going to walk ahead of you, so I don't smell you." She says as they walk. Rook stops for a second and grabs a rock. "Hang on a sec, I need a new spear." He sits down and hold his foot out in front of him, Kipo watches curiously as to what he could be doing. He curls his toes and suddenly a long sharp claw extended from between his big toe and second toe. "Woah! You have Talons!?" Kipo asks in surprise. "Whats a talon?" He asks as he uses his talon to sharpen the rock into a sharp point, Kipo is impressed by how strong his talons are. Rook then ties the rock to the stick and makes a new spear. "There, now I have a weapon." Kipo claps her tied hands. "Cool, but be sure to have that ready, in case I go feral again." Rook nods and keeps it pointed at her. "Alright, but I don't plan on stabbing you." "I know, but just in case." 

Rook keeps his spear tight in his hands, as they walk they're surrounded by uncomfortable silence, so having enough of it, Kipo decided to ask some questions. "Hey, while we're walking, can I ask? what is you're relationship with Apex?" Rook tilts his head. "I don't follow." "What I mean is, you're a lot like it." "WHAT!?" Kipo jumps from his raise in voice. "...sorry...and to answer your question, I don't know. All I know is that Apex has had it out for me for as long as I've know em. I'll tell you, if not for my wings I would've been captured." Kipo looks worried for him. "Do you have any idea what it wants?" Rook thinks hard, but shakes his head. "No, I mean the closest to answer is he wants to bring me to the shockshroom valley." Kipo perks up at the mention of something new. "Shockshroom valley?" "Yeah, remember when Apex almost got you? I threw a bundle of shockshrooms at em. Stunned him long enough for me to grab you and run." Kipo looks at him with a curious fascination. "I'm guessing these "Shockshrooms" grow in this valley." Rook smirks. "You guess right, you saw that giant bolt of lighting that shoot through the air right? The valley is there, the shrooms attract lighting and they just charge up after a while. Their good for fishing." Kipo thinks as to how they could be used for fishing, then it dawns on her. "ooooohhhhh..... you're right..." They chuckle and Kipo trips and falls. "Oh you ok?" Rook goes to help her up, but a rock is thrown at head. "OW! Where did-" He's suddenly kicked by Wolf. "WOLF!? What are you doing here!?" Kipo asks in surprise.
