Benson pov

"Stupid jungle... stupid shrooms... STUPID ISLAND!!! Ugh! I can't believe they'd just forget about Dave like that! Now I'm out here by myself to go and get him!" This is unbelievable I've been walking for hours and now I'm lost looking for a giant mantis! "Ugh this would be so much easier if I had my music." My thoughts are Interrupted by something tackling me to the ground. "Ugh! What the- Nosey?" The little creature yips as it looks down at me while I'm on the ground. "Where did you come from?"

I stand up and am immediately tackled again. "Gotcha!" Rook grabs me. "Oh great the turkey is here." Rook looks at me surprised. "Eh... whatever, we're going to the boat, hop on my back, i'll carry you there." "Buzz off dude, i'm going to rescue Dave." Rook is taken a back from that one, and I've got much more to say.

No pov

Benson walks ahead, leaving Rook behind. "Hey hold on, where are you even going?" "I'm going to get my best friend." "You mean from the shockshroom guardian?" Benson skids down a slope. "Yes and you're not stopping me." Rook just jumps down and lands in front of him. "Well I don't have to if that's what you're doing." Benson doesn't look at him as he tries to climb up another slope. "Oh yeah? And why's that?" Rook crossed his arms. "Because you're going the wrong way." Benson froze and slow slide down the slope. "Um..." He blushed. "Which way-" "I'm not telling you." Benson looks mad. "Oh come on! Help a brother out! I'm just trying to get my best friend back!" "I'll go get him, you go back to the ship, you follow Nosey, he'll lead you back." "I'm not trusting you, you heartbreaker!" Rook isn't sure how to respond to that.

"How do you break a heart? I mean you could stab it, but is that the same thing... wait what counts as breaking? What is breaking? Benson what is-" "I MEAN I'M NOT PUTTING MY TRUST IN SOMEONE WHO HURT KIPO!!!" Benson yells, as Rook's ears ring. "Ah...wait what?" "I'm not trusting someone who just breaks someones heart so casually. I heard what you said to Kipo, I could practically hear her heart shatter!" Rook is shocked by Benson's facts. "ugh, look I admit, what I said was bad, but you have to understand, leaving the island is me throwing everything I've ever known away, I can't just leave this behind with out a good reason." "Oh so Kipo isn't reason enough!?" Benson spat. "No no, she's worth it, it's just... just..." "Just just. JUST WHAT!?" Rook is struggling to explain, but he didn't have to when suddenly a low hiss is heard

They look to the side and see the one and only Blood raptor. "You again!? Benson go for cover-" The blood raptor immediately tackles him into a wall, and Rook kicks it away, it screeches and tackles him again further down into the slope. Rook kicks it off again and it rolled on the ground. "Ugh, I don't want to deal with this right now!" The Blood raptor, screeched and ran at him. "I don't have the TIME!" Rook takes a deep breathe and unleashed his sonic scream sending the raptor back into a cliff wall, causing it to crack slightly. "Woah! Didn't mean to make it that strong..." He looks back to Benson and frowns. "Now then It's about time we-" Suddenly a loud screech was heard, but it wasn't Rook, looking he sees- "APEX!" Benson yells.

Rook looks worried and whistles for Nosey. The little creature yips as it sped to his side. "Nosey get Benson to a safe spot." Nosey yips and runs at Benson with blinding speed, tackling him to the ground and quickly dragging him away by the collar of his shirt. "Hey no wait ROOK!!!" Benson calls out. Rook looks at Apex and sighs. "If I take Benson back, Apex will follow me... I can't put them in danger..." Apex lands with his harbingers at his side. "...I have to fight." Apex spreads it's large wings and screeches. "726... you will come with us..." Rook spreads his own wings and gets his talons out. "My name is ROOK!"

Rook runs at Apex and delivers a flying kick, Apex tanks it but grunts in pain. Rook jumps back after kicking off of Apex's chest. "I'm not scared of you!" Apex screeched and charges at Rook, despite Apex's larger form and strength, Rook manages to stay out of his grip, with him being smaller and much faster than he is. "You going to have to do better than that!" Rook jumps over a swing from Apex and Rook runs up it's arm and Kicks Apex in the beak, but Apex retaliated by grabbing Rook tightly in it's fist. "Get off!" Rook takes another deep breath and fires another sonic scream, but Apex doesn't seem all that affected, it slowing looks back at Rook and opens it's beak. "...uh oh..."
