Cyno watered the plants by the door with care, making sure to not drown them.

"Here you go, girls." He whispered to them with a smile that was more interpreted than existing.

He stood up from his practical bow he usually made while watering the small flowers scattered around the café.

Cyno hadn't exactly shown particular interest in plants, let alone flowers— At least, that was until Tighnari came along, suggesting he planted specific types in pots around the café.

Tighnari said it'd make the place smell sweeter, and be some filler for the medium sized space that could definitely fit some small pots here and there.

So, Cyno planted them and Tighnari gave him the advice to grow them, and it went well. And after a while he'd decided to bring them to the café.

It turned out that Tighnari was right about them brightening up the place because Cyno'd felt a happier feeling in the café after caring for them for a while in their new home.

  brrING~

Cyno's head turned, knowing who it was.
He was met with a familiar face smiling gently and a; "Hey, Cyno!"

"T-Hi-nari." He replied, setting his watering can and task down for him, and walking behind the counter as usual.

"Usual, please" Tighnari nodded, sitting at the chair infront of the counter with an annoyed look on his face at the disgusting, lack of good pun formed from his own NAME.

"Just put your money there, yada-yad.." Cyno nodded next to the register as he grabbed a cup and wrote the name he had been for the past 5 days— As if he hadn't just annoyed him at all.

"I get the deal by now, y'know.." He murmured, setting his money where he usually does, swaying his tail in short - lived annoyed boredom on the ground.

"If you hate my voice that much.. Maybe I should only talk to you in Cy-n language. ." Cyno suggested, preparing his cup.

A disappointed, harsh frown pierced through Cyno even though he wasn't turned around to even closely see Tighnari's face.

Cyno gave himself a chuckle since his audience clearly wasn't going to— And he turned around and met the devil's glare hesitantly.

He slid the hot cup to him with a nervous smile. "There you go."

"Please stop making jokes, Cyno.." Tighnari whimpered pleadingly, taking the cup and sipping it— Somehow not burning his tastebuds.

"Ah,. . Fine.. Fine." He agreed, putting his hands up and head low in a playful defeat as he slipped into his stool.

"Thanks." Tighnari, well, thanked— As he set the cup infront of him down on the counter.

"Hm. . What's one thing you've done you won't ever do again?"

"Ohh, okay Mr. Icebreaker.. But, probably veterinarian school."

"Hm? I thought you loved your work."

"I do, but— Those are 8 years I spent just growing debt, I dunno- It was just a hassle." He explained with a sip, a wag to his tail and visibly comfortable, happy expression on his face.

"Understandable. ." Cyno murmured in agreement with a nod.

Tighnari took in the comforting silence and looked around the now familiar and almost homey café. His eyes trailed to a small clock just to his left and he took a second to read it.

Shit. He thought, noticing the clock was  at a time way too late for his liking to get to work from the café.

"I— I have to go." He stammered, an ear flicking nervously as he scrambled from his seat.

"Oh. ." Cyno nodded, fixing his posture that was leaning closest to Tighnari to listen more intently.

Tighnari rushed out, a wave still lingering in Cyno's direction as he looked back for a split second. "Cya, Cyno-!" He added, letting the door slip around his body and wave back and forth to a closing.

Cyno waved back, per usual, and boredom overcame him, per usual.

He still looked forward to the next morning.
