As she stood in front of Spencer, Trina looked up and her hands followed. Trailing her fingers over the deep green t-shirt he wore, she enjoyed the feel of his thick and broad chest.

"Trina? Is something wrong?"

Frowning at his words, Trina managed to get a hand around his neck. When their eyes met, the need to feel his lips on hers overrode everything else. Soon she was on her toes, closing the space between them, bringing her mouth to his. When Trina felt his warm hand on the small of her back, she pressed her body closer.

Everything in that moment felt so right, Trina couldn't believe it. All the time she had spent feeling bad about wanting to be with Spencer, trying to deny the way she felt about him, to finally being able to be in his arms now...

She wanted more.

The minute the thought entered her mind, Trina's hands went to both sides of Spencer's face. She opened her eyes and the sight of Spencer's face as he stared back at her sparked something inside of her. Biting her lip, she kissed his left cheek. When she went to do the same to the right one, that was when she noticed the art book on the table, along with a vase of fresh red, white, and yellow tulips. My favorite. He remembered.

Not ready to let go of him just yet, Trina took one of his hands into hers as she stepped closer to the table. "Is that...the art book you gave me?"

"Um, yeah."

Turning to face Spencer, Trina brought his hand to her lips and brushed it along his knuckles. She peeked up to find Spencer's eyes still on her.

"Is that why you asked me to come here tonight? To give this back to me?"

When he nodded, Trina released his hand and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Thank you."

She listened as he cleared his throat. "Trina, it's me that should be thank you."

"What do you mean?"

Lifting her head, Trina watched as Spencer closed his eyes. As he opened them and stared down at her, she felt his warm breath travel across her face.

"I should be thank you, Trina."

Spencer paused, and she enjoyed the feel of his warm body close as he went on, "You came into my life and became my friend. Even when I didn't deserve you. Goodness knows I gave you enough reasons not to."

He kissed the crown of her head and Trina felt that all new but familiar feeling from earlier return as he continued. "And now that we're together...I just don't want you to ever regret giving me this chance."

Somehow she managed to pull away from Spencer and her gaze when straight back to his warm eyes. "Spencer, the only thing I regret right now is the time I wasted not being honest with you - and myself - about how I feel for you."

This time, when he went to kiss her again, Trina was ready. Her mind was all but made up, but the second she felt his lips on hers again, she knew what she wanted more than anything. Pulling him closer, Trina's tongue dove into his Spencer's mouth and a sound she never heard before left her lips when it touched his.

Spencer's arms crushed her close as he groaned. She brought her hands to both sides of his face, parting from his lips only to make one request, "Spencer, I want to be with you tonight."
