The ground begins to shake under us as Hobie and Gwen come up to question y/n what's going on but she shakes her head and turns me with worry but grabs hold of my hand and drags me out of the building being quick to make sure I don't fall back taking her time with me.

My hearing and mind comes back when we're out of the building to clear skies but panic bubbles inside of me instead of calming down.

"We'll clear the path. You slow down the building!" I order towards Gwen and Hobie.

We all jump over the railing, feeling the air on our faces diving down.

"I'll do it but not because you told me to!" Hobie adds in.

Pav, y/n, and I make our way to grab people as fast as possible and put them safety away from the destruction of the building that is about to fall on they all. There's not much time to waste, but when Hobie and Gwen's webs snap and the buildings starts falling again, my heart drops. We need to move quicker.

I signal to y/n who nods as soon as she sees it. She webs at me and spins on her heel in the air, twisting her body with enough force and launches me straight into a building. I grab at the people inside and throw them out of the building. Pav and y/n web at them to safety.

We make our way over the ledge again and meet up with the rest, jumping off as well as making our way to the bridge below. Screams from the people down tug at me to push even further, to save them all when we all web at they from the bridge to higher standing buildings around.

I jump back to the railing from before, but my senses go off, I look to the bridge again and a man, who I think is the inspector, holding a small child in his arms. I'm about to jump off when Gwen pulls at me to stop.

"Miles!"

"Don't worry. Thread the needle, ring the bell, right?"

"It's too dangerous,"

"I'll be okay. I promise, " I push against the railing to shake her hand off my wrist and dive down.

"Miles! No!"

'Hey, Sunflower. Mind helping out Pav with the bus'

Pav is stuck in the situation of getting everyone on the bus safely attached to the bridge by a literal rope with whom I spot is his girlfriend inside, too. I jump towards the man from earlier. I grab him and the kid running through the falling rubble, but by the last second, it falls on us in a hard thud on my back.

I can hear y/n heartbeat drop in one last beat.

"Miles!" "Miles!"

The voices come closer and closer as the light is shone in my eyes again, and I stare at a familiar comforting mask who smiles at me when she throws the rubble to the side.

"I'm alright, princesa" I smile at my girlfriend but my attention moves from her to Gwen who squeezes her way past y/n and to me checking for injuries, putting a hand on my face staring at me.

"You're alright...."

"I did promise," I tell her, but when I look to my girlfriend whose expression is blank but the fury in her eyes is still there.

"Gwen." her cold and sharp voice snaps Gwen out of her worry for me as she moves her hand immediately away from my face.

Right... she's still upset with Gwen lying.

I lift the kid up and let her hold on to me as she's still shaken and cluching on for dear life. I move out from my spot towards y/n, who rubs comforting circles on the kids back.
