Teleporting back but then onto an elevator pad of black and red excites me when I pull off my mask, observing the amazing technology when I see the rest do the same. I turn to y/n who's face is glowing almost and her eyes are still so bright when she talks to her mom and talks to me through my mind but I half listen giving her short responses as I take in my surroundings right now, she can tell me later when she has my full attention. I turn to Hobie. Huge hair was the first thing I think when I see him, then the piercing and the hard face. What's up with this guy looking and acting so nonchalantly awesome?

"How are you even cooler under your mask?"

"I was just cool the whole time. Also, say, is she single?" He directs his attention towards y/n who talks in bits and pieces with her mother on the ride and I smile at her seeing as how this is all she's been waiting for for most of her life and now she has-

Wait.

"Did you just ask if she's single?" He nods and looks back at her with a grin plastered on his face it makes me want to really just hold y/n back at my side again or maybe leave marks of her to clarify she's not.

"She's my girlfriend," I firmly point out as he snaps his head back to me with attention back on me with suprise in his expression, but he just smirks.

"Is your girlfriend single by any chance then?"

"Im being serious,"

"I don't believe in comedy, remember?" I give him a look, and he rises his arms up in surrender

"Jokes, bruv jokes. You caught yourself quite a fine piece of eye candy that's for true. Inside and out, " he smirks, looking away from me.

"Okay stop dude" I look away from him to the view around us and am absolutely blown away and forget everything that's happened.

"Hey this way,"

Y/n POV

I'm finally here, with her....I finally have my mom back...

It hurts all the same and still fills me with joy for this moment I've waited for and kept me up for so long, I finally have my mom back. And I have a sibling on the way, too! I'm gonna be a big sister! This is literally mind blowing my smile is hurting my face every time my mom tells me something about me or about what's she's up to now. I look to Miles, who's looking around the elevator and talking with Hobie, and my smile dims a bit. It's not Hobie, trust me, Hobie is cool, and I like his accent it's just Miles. I thought he'd been more static about this too, he can finally stop losing nights of rest over me and trying to find me, but he seems uninterested. I mean come on, I once lost my baby blanket for whatever reason it even mangaged to get out my room and this boy went all over the city to find it with me and once I did find it he was all smiles and hugs telling me he was just feeling all clingy because he knew how much the thing meant to me. But from the spidership and now through our communication, he's done nothing but pay my half attention, giving me short response like 'that's cool' 'really?' 'That's amazing' none stop, and I don't think he notices at all.

But maybe it's because he's excited about all of this, so I'll leave it and let him be, though... I just wish he'd pay better. attention.

"Y/n you listening, girl?" My mom pulls me out of my train of uncomforting thoughts as we walk out the elevator and into a huge amazing hall. It's filled with Spider of all sorts.

"Any sign of Spot?" Mom asks out to the Spider, approaching us on our way in.

"Has anyone spot Spot?"

"Ha ha, so funny. Anybody else got jokes?" I laugh at her response to the spider in a hijabi but choose to stay silent following through with a smile of my face when she nudges me and I hear a whisper or two about me, Dusk.
