Beomgyu stood on the balcony, gazing at the starlit sky in solitude. Suddenly, he heard the soft sound of footsteps approaching. He turned around and saw Eunchae walking towards him.
"Why are you still awake?" Beomgyu inquired gently.
"I tend to stay up late. What are you doing here all by yourself?" Eunchae asked with curiosity.
"Just thinking," Beomgyu replied.
"What's on your mind?" she inquired further.
"I've been thinking about my best friends," he confessed.
"Why don't you give them a call?" Eunchae suggested.
"We just finished a video call," Beomgyu replied.
"Oh, I see. Where are they studying now?" she inquired.
"One is studying at SNU, and the other is at KU," Beomgyu answered.
"If I'm not mistaken, their names are Choi Soobin and Choi Yeonjun, right?" Eunchae said, remembering his social media posts.
"How did you... oh, you saw them in my posts!" Beomgyu realized.
"Yes, I did. Are you related to them? I mean, the Choi part," she inquired.
"No, we're not related anymore. But we used to be," Beomgyu explained.
"What do you mean?" Eunchae asked, curious about his response.
"Forget it. It's nothing," he quickly dismissed the topic.
"Oppa, can I ask you something?" Eunchae requested.
"Of course," Beomgyu replied warmly.
"Do you have someone special in your life? I mean, a girlfriend?" Eunchae inquired, her voice slightly trembling.
"No, I don't have one," Beomgyu answered truthfully.
"Really? Amazing! Boys like you always seem to have a girlfriend!" Eunchae exclaimed.
"Why do you say that?" Beomgyu asked, genuinely intrigued.
"Because you're kind, pure, honest, caring, and handsome..." Eunchae trailed off, blushing.
"Okay, okay, enough of that. I thought you were reading lines from a script," Beomgyu chuckled.
"Oppa, I'm being sincere. Someone like you can make people's hearts flutter," she confessed.
Beomgyu felt a mix of confusion and surprise. He looked at her intently and said, "You're still young. Don't trust people too easily."
"But I trust you, Oppa. Promise me something," Eunchae pleaded.
"Tell me, what is it?" Beomgyu asked, curious about her request.
"Don't fall in love until I become an adult," Eunchae requested, her words catching him off guard.
"What?" Beomgyu thought he must have misheard her.
"Oppa, goodnight. It's time for you to sleep. I'll make you breakfast early tomorrow morning," Eunchae said sweetly, breaking the silence.
Beomgyu nodded, a smile forming on his face. Eunchae left, leaving him in a state of blissful confusion.
