Chapter 17

Their eyes widened when they saw the mysterious person.

"Doesn't your favourite Vampire get a hug?", Mikelson opened his huge arms.

"Wha-"

"Congratulations to your adoption.", Mrs Jones said, and you could even think she had a tiny smile on her lips.

"I don't understand..", Jane stuttered.

"Maybe you goblins aren't that bad.", Mikelson smiled.

"My brain stopped working."

"I will explain you the details at home."

"Home?"

"Home."

"But Iwe thought.but she said couple."

"Did you forget I am happily married for more than 150 years?"

"Ladies.", Andreas waved behind his husband.

"You adopted us?!"

"Yeah, unless there's another sister trio here I could've adopted."

"No, Mr Smith, they're the only ones.", Mrs Jones said.

"When?!"

"When the police picked you up, I felt horrible. And after a sleepless night of talking, we organized everything. And as it's your birthday we wanted to surprise you.", Mikelson said a bit nervous.

Jane just laughed with tears in her eyes jumping into his arms.

"You can officially call yourself Lady Jane now."

"Lady JaneI could get used to this."

"Technically just Jane Smith.", Mrs Jones interrupted.

"Maybe as an artistic name then.", Mikelson laughed.

"Lola, Emily?", he raised an eyebrow, and the two girls ran over, hugging him as tight as they could.

The two men grabbed the girls' bags and wanted to leave.

"Good luck.", Mrs Jones said.

"For what?", Jane asked happy to leave this place.

"Your future.", a bit surprised Jane nodded.

"Thank you.", the girl answered.

"For what?"

"Not letting us die on the street.", the woman just nodded waving at them before she closed the door.

"What happened to her? She was kinda nice.", Emily asked.

"I may or may not had a little chat with her, when we handed in all the papers."

"What did you do?"

"Nothing I just told her she should overthink her ways. Found out she just had strict parents you raised her like that, she only knew this way."

"Are you lying?"

"No."

"Great now I feel guilty for her."

"Remember she still hurt you.and called me disgusting."

"Yeah, it's over now we will leave her behind."

"That's what I wanted to hear."

"Wait where do we sleep? I can't remember seeing an empty room somewhere."

"Mik put his atelier in my office, we share it now as I don't need much space in there anyway.", Andreas smiled at them.

"I hope you don't mind sharing a room, but that's all we can give you now."

"It's perfect."

When they arrived at the villa, they dropped the bags on the sofa and went upstairs, wanting to see their new room.

"Ready? We just put a bit in there as we didn't have much time."

"Ready.", the girls closed their eyes and walked in. When they heard the light switch, they opened their eyes, looking around with fascination. It had three beds in the corners, each with a small nightstand, a small desk and a closet on each wall, the desks decorated with lights and the pics they took a few weeks ago, their names written in different styles over their beds, pillows and teddys sitting on them. In the middle of the room a red carpet and sitting bags.

"You did that within a week?!", they squeaked.

"Yeah, it's not perfect, I know."

"Are you kidding?! This is awesome!"

"You like it?"

"Yeah."

But then he felt something under his coat, I lifted it a bit and noticed Lola hugging his waist. He just smiled and petted her head.

"Welcome home little one.", he looked over at Jane giving him a smile.

"Are you hungry?"

"Starving."

"What do you want us to cook?"

"Maybe we should order something, honey.", Andreas smiled and kissed him.

"Okay. I'm fine with that.", he smiled, showing his fangs.

"We won't call any of you daddy or dad, just to be clear."

"Thanks, I'm already old enough, I don't need to be called dad by little goblins too.", he laughed, picking Lola up.

They all went downstairs again, waiting for their food to arrive, after they just enjoyed each other's presence, Lola sleeping under Mikelsons coat, Emily resting her head on his shoulder, while Jane put her head on Andreas' shoulder. They talked until the late evening before they went to bed in their new home, having the first calm night in years.
