"Okay... and.... we are just about done! You can take a look in the mirror!" Mo inquired.

"Thanks a bunch! Freddie is going to love my hair! I really don't wanna mess it up!" I yelled to Mo.

I leaped out of my seat and bolted out of that hair salon feeling super psyched about tonight. I wonder what my date is going to say or think.......

Whitey had snuck me into this gambling room with Tony and a few of their friends. They asked me if I wanted to play poker with them. I kindly passed up the offer as I needed to get ready and meet Freddie by the cafeteria. Whitey didn't know why my hair was so nice and he didn't suspect a thing. Whitey and my boyfriend used to be rivals since Freddie was of higher power and Whitey happened to be very power thirsty at the moment. They are friends now, and Freddie was actually the one who introduced Whitey to our friend group. Whitey ended up bringing Tony along to our friend group. Although he is 12 and the rest of us are 15, he gets along with us really well....

Except now since Tony decided to play that bird-brained idiotic joke on Freddie, Now nobody really likes him anymore. What a shame....

*checks my watch* "Oh! It's 7:30! He should be here at any moment!" I thought to myself.

I was really nervous and my heart was beating fast. This is the first date I have ever been on, and with a person I really like.

"Micah?" A familiar voice yelled.

I was lost in my thoughts until I figured out who it was.

"Hi......"

"Hi........"

We pulled in for a light kiss, and then he handed me flowers.

"Thank you! These smell lovely!" I squealed shyly.

He grabbed my hand and we went for a walk around Boys Town, and then we went in to go to this indoor restaurant-type facility. I've never been here before! Freddie happened to know the waiters.

"Hello Jimmy!"

"Hello Freddie! Your usual?"

"Yep!"

"Ah, you have someone special with you today Freddie? What's your name?" Jimmy asked.

"My name is Micah! Nice to meet you Jimmy!" I said shaking his hand.

"I would like the chicken parmesan with a side dish of potato salad." I ordered.

"So..... do you come here a lot?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah I come here a lot. The chef's name is Eddie, and the waiters are Jimmy, Frankie and Alex."

(*can you guess where I got the names Eddie and Alex from? XD*)

Wow. He seems to come here a lot. He knows everybody's name and he even has a usual? I want to know what it is!

"This is the first date I've ever been on. Sorry I'm kind of nervous, Micah." Freddie apologized.

"This is the first date I've ever been on too. I really like you..." I told him. At least somebody understands!

"Like as a friend or-"

"No... more than that. You have been the guy I have had a crush on since I came here!"

"Oh..... i have a crush on you too Micah... You are actually really cute. what are your pronouns?" my crush asked.

"Really any pronouns work for me. I'm genderfluid and so is my friend Mo." I answered

"Okay. I think it's adorable when you dress like a girl. You and your friend even get matching hair and outfits! I find it really cool. You smell really nice too." Freddie added on.

"Yeah! So how long have you liked me for?" I asked.

"Ever since you and Mo came here! I had just gotten my lunch, and I happened to have walked by your table on the way to my table. You were the cutest guy I had ever met."

"So do you like just boys, or both?" I asked him.

"When I was a kid, I didn't really care about love in general. When I was 8, there was this boy who lived across the street. I had the biggest crush on him. I didn't know at the time what this actually meant. He actually liked me back! We didn't kiss or date or anything like that but our parents found out. They were actually okay with it! They knew that we liked each other, and they let us hang out. At school, all of my friends had crushes on girls except me, who had liked boys this entire time. My parents said what I was experiencing was me being homosexual. It had meant that I liked boys and not girls and that was okay!" He explained to me.

The food had arrived so I started to eat.

"You can continue." I insisted.

"When I was 10, however, my parents passed on, and I was brought to Father Flanagan's Home For Boys. It was this tacky building right next to this jeweler. I originally helped to build the buildings for Boys Town. Shortly after you and Mo arrived, I never noticed you two until I happened to pass by you. Ever since that day I couldn't take my eyes off of you!"

We had finished our meal, and then we left the restaurant. Before we went back to end our date, we had one more passionate yet delightful makeout session before I hit the showers. We were officially a couple! This is one of my dreams come true.

"Couldn't take my eyes off of you? That is a good idea for a song..." I thought to myself.
