It was currently 9pm when Foster had arrived at the airport of Seattle. A few hours prior her aunt Nancy couldn't take care of her anymore, didn't have the space, money, or time.

Foster had already gone through her other aunts as well. Both were nicer but incredibly busy or on vacation.

You might be thinking, "where's Fosters mom?" well sadly enough a week prior Amelia Shepard had been sent back to rehab, leaving her daughter in the care of her siblings. And don't even get started on her dad. Fosters dad left before Amelia could even finish her sentence saying that she was pregnant sixteen years ago.

So now here's Foster Alicia Shepard standing at the baggage claim in the ginormous airport looking around figuring out what to do next.

"No kid should have to experience this." She thought as her music was blasting through her earbuds. She always made sure one was out just in case, she knows to look out all too well.

Foster took out her phone and scoffed at the low battery percentage notification. Opening her contacts she tried to call her uncle Derek but there was no answer. Foster figured he was probably busy with work.

She then opened Merediths contact and her thumb hovered over the call button. Don't get her wrong, Foster loves Meredith like a aunt and sister. But she was always scared that Meredith didn't like her, but that's just Mer's exterior.

She finally tapped the call button and brought the phone to her ear. It rang for a few seconds and just as Foster was going to end it a voice answered on the other line.

"Foster?" A confused voice said. "You don't normally call, are you okay?" Meredith said.

"Can you come get me? Please. I'm at the airport, I'll explain ev-." Foster started but was then cut off by the voice on the other line.

"I'm on my way." Meredith said from the other end.

Foster was waiting outside in her very fashionable outfit of sweatpants and a tank top. Most of her clothes were dirty after all.

"Get out of the rain and get in here." Meredith yelled from the car. "How long had she been there?" Foster thought.

"Hurry up, you're gonna get wet!" Meredith said slightly motherly scolding Foster. Foster quickly hopped in and buckled her seatbelt as Meredith pulled out of the parking lot.

She looked in the back noticing her younger cousin wasn't back there. While Foster had never met Zola she knew of her. Meredith would text her pictures.

"Where's Zola?" Foster asked. "Oh I got Lexi to watch her. She's was already in bed when you called me."

"I'm sorry." Foster mumbled, she didn't like when others had to care for her. "Stop that." Meredith said as they pulled into the driveway.

The two walked in together. "You can sleep in George's old room. Don't worry his stuff is gone." Meredith said in a slightly sad tone.

There was a frown on Fosters face after that. She had met everyone before. Izzie, George, Alex, Bailey, just everyone. But she hadn't been back since George passed.

"Look, you go upstairs get a shower and I'll do your hair afterword. Derek is working a Night Shift and I don't want to sleep alone."

Foster smiled as she trudged up the stairs. Locking eyes with some ginger she had never met before. For a second she thought it was an intruder but after all it's like everyone lived in this house. The other girl was probably wondering what she was doing there.

After showering Meredith came and sat behind Foster on the bed. "How do you want it?" She said. "Braids please." Foster replied. "Two French?" "Two French."

"You wanna explain everything?" Meredith asked and foster nodded.

"Momma is back in rehab since around a week ago, which I think you already knew. She went willingly so that was really good. I was with Lizzie for a few days but she went on vacation. Kathleen is off the fire or something which left me with Nancy. And then she had to go on a work trip. So she took me with her to the airport and got me a ticket for Seattle. Figured Derek owed her one or something and now I'm here."

"Nancy can be a bitch." Meredith said and Foster nodded.

"Why did she send me here caused Derek owed her? I know our family is weird but shouldn't it be due to my best interest?" Foster asked with tears in her eyes.

Meredith sighed, "It should." we really are twisted huh?" Foster nodded. The two then got into bed and fell asleep.
