Prologue
Chris' POV
As the clock ticked-tacked to 7:30 in the morning, the door knocked-knocked its way to my ear. I opened it and was surprised to see my neighbor
standing at our porch, holding a little box in her hands. I wonder what's she's
holding.
"I just saw this thing this morning and I believed this is for you because of the
name attached to it. Though the sender didn't put it's name on it, just go get
this."
"Thank you. I'm really sorry for the wrong address ma'am. Sooner or later I'll
figure this out so that this won't happen again."
And so the little box with a little tag with my name written on it is in my hands now.
I examined it and opened a little part of one corner. As I slightly saw what's inside, I immediately figured out something in my mind.
"I think I already knew where does this came from."
Zyra's POV
Scanning every page of this book in which I don't understand the content made my morning boring! I never thought that I've got to spend my first day of being a Junior college student here inside the library. I felt tired by facing this book required for us so I searched the bookshelves to find some interesting one. As I piled up 5-10 books on my table, I spent 2 hours just scanning them again because I still can't find the urge to settle my thoughts in one book. Ugh! Where are my best friends when I needed them the most?
Because I've got nothing to do, I've decided to take a nap with my arms crossed above the table and buried my face in the middle. Since I've got to wait an hour before our classes starts, I utilized the remaining time resting.
Five minutes left before our class, I've decided to return the books I borrowed & head straight to our building. But as I left my chair, someone behind me sat beside the chair I'm using. I couldn't actually recognize who that person was, until he finally spoke.
"The moment you realize that the person you cared for has nothing intellectually or spiritually to offer you, but a headache."
He uttered those while giving his side view to me. Afterwards, he faced me with a wink.
"It's good to see you again Ms. Leona."
He stood up and brushed his hair using his fingertips as he winked at me again and gave me that most charming smile I've ever seen.
Such a good way to start my school year!
