Chapter 7
Rolph's POV
Waking up on the very first day of my birth month, I only have my pajamas wrapped on my waist with my exposed upper body. Since I don't have any classes, I utilized my morning by having 100 push ups, 50 sit ups, 50 climb ups, 50 jumping jacks, & 20 minutes planking. It's my daily routine by the way.
I prepared a bottle of water, towel, and of course, my phone with my earphones plugged in it. Before I went outside, I looked at myself in the mirror first. I can see a different person now. Seems like all the insecurities I'm dealing before turned into ashes already. My figure may be different now, but I'm still the Rolph whom everyone adored before. I had my last glance and went out of my room with songs of pop vibrating into my eardrums.
I opened the door and I can smell the comforting morning dew around the landscape I am in. I walked first and then started to put effort on my legs by increasing the speed. I'm usually enjoying my new lifestyle because it's healthy. I reached the part wherein the whole city can be seen and stopped there. This is such a relaxing place. A place where you can see a diversity of wonders. The birds are chirping, the wind is whistling, the sun rises. I couldn't ask for more.
Looking at the surroundings, I can see people like me who are having this kind of lifestyle too. But the difference is that they're with their families, friends, couples, etc. While I'm, never mind.
It's kinda lonely to be in a place where you'll feel alone. I wish I could be with my family doing the same stuff as these people are doing right now. I wish I could have someone to accompany me. But it's impossible. I'm alone and always will be.
Since I was out of place, I jog my way back to my place. I enjoyed hearing the beat of my heart vibrating inside my chest. Sometimes, I can even create a melody out of it just to entertain me before I reach home.
Finally I'm here. I went inside to clean myself. When I unplugged my earphones, a message beeped my phone. I opened it and boom! I almost forgot that I have to fetch Zyra. I immediately took the car keys and didn't have the time to take all the sweat I gathered from my exercise. She's been waiting for an hour already so I have to rush. Good thing the traffic is not that heavy yet so it just took me a while.
I stopped the car in front of the dorm. As I was about to call her that I'm here already, a girl with four huge bags went out.
"Whoa! Do you want to bring your whole room in my house?"
She gave me that can-you-feel-my-presence smile and left the bags.
"Not just my whole room. Actually I'm bringing my life there."
She made her way inside the car and looked through the window as she signaled me to get her bags.
"What am I supposed to do with those? Are you expecting me to carry all for you?"
She laughed at me and pointed at the bags first then at the back of my car afterward.
"Take it or leave it."
Alright, since I just had my warm up a while ago, why not?
To somehow tease her, I took my shirt off, wiped my abdomen, my neck and then my hair. I did it in slow motion to add drama and while doing it, I saw Zyra looking at me with her slightly-parted lips. I knew it! She'll get that effect from me! HAHA! I carried the bags and headed straight to my car. I stared at her while walking in slow motion again. Feeling the intensity of my stare, she then shifted her sight away from me. HAHA she's such a ridiculous girl!
When I am inside the car already, I looked at Zyra sitting beside me. She has that scary kind of stare darted on me. I asked her, "What's the matter?"
