(*:..｡o○) BEEP BEEP BEEP * I GROANED, SITTING UP IN BED AT THE SOUND OF THE EMERGENCY ALARM BLARING. My room was glowing red, I squinted at the ceiling gathering my thoughts and decided to get down since i was already awake. I stretched my neck and grabbed my phone checking the time. 00:00
I slipped on my slides and opened up the hatch leading to the steps down to the man cave. Tucking my phone into the pocket of my shorts, i made my way down to the man cave hoping i won't fall asleep and trip.
I tapped my wristband and the sprocket opens up. Dad and Henry stood there looking at the monitor with their super suits on.
"hey guys.. what's the emergency.." I greeted as I walked down to the couch before curling up.
"Robbery at the 24-hour antique glass store." Henry stated. "Ooh Glass from the Past?" My eyes brightened at the thought of the pretty glass bottles i see in the windows whenever i walk past.
"We'll be back soon muffin, your whizwatch is fixed, remember to let the wristband self-destruct. Beep us for anything." Dad rubs my back before they run off to the tubes and shoot off to save another swellviewian.
"been 11 years and i still don't know how i live with the alarm blaring whenever im asleep..." I groaned before trudging over to get my whizwatch and falling back to sleep on the couch.
✰ a few hours later...
MISS SHAPEN WAS CALLING HENRY'S NAME AND HE was fast asleep on his desk while everyone including myself have our papers done. I grimaced as Miss Shapen licked her finger and gave Henry a wet willy, only then did he sprung awake.
"wait what HUH" Henry looked around in confusion.
The entire class was wrecked with laughter, while i shook my head knowing that Henry and Dad had spent most of the early morning cleaning up the mess they made while fighting the robber.
flashback.. I hear the tubes shoot down and sound of two tired males stumble out. I sat up and checked my phone. 4:00 am "what took you guys so long..." I yawned and stretched before sitting up to look at the two. "we had to.." Dad started. "..clean up the place" Henry finished before they both collasped on each other snoring away. Pulling a blanket over their sleeping bodies, i sighed and wondered how Henry was gonna cope with this lifestyle. I don't save people yet i still can't get used to the sudden blaring of the alarm at the oddest of times.
