(➶-͙˚ ༘✶) HENRY AND I WALKED INTO JUNK'N'STUFF CHATTING about Miss Shapen's weird speech in class today. Charlotte had ran off after school, telling us to head to work without her and that she'd be here soon. oh well-
"You two, good timing, come and help me!" Gooch calls from the counter as he turned to walk to the back.
"come on, i'll drop off our bags downstairs." i put my hand out for Henry's backpack.
"okay, thanks." Henry shrugs and hands his backpack to me. I felt the sudden weight of a million tons handed over to me.
"dude. what do you have in your backpack. why does it weigh so much." I complain, trying to haul it onto my back. "i can bring it downstairs instead and you can wait to see what weird thing Gooch wants us to help out with." Henry grins making an offer to exchange.
"ugh, fine."
✰ I GOT DOWN TO THE MAN CAVE AND DROPPED Henry's backpack on the cart near the lift before walking to my room to put my own away.
"dad?" i call out from the small kitchen in the house we never use. strange, wonder where he went.
i walk out of the sprocket into the Man Cave, and froze.
"Hey muffin, your back from school?" Dad calls out from dancing with Laylani, his latest obsession. yes, this ain't his first. i have seen many.
"what are you doing?" I question, walking down the stairs.
"Hula dancing with Laylani!" Dad grins. "look! i'm hulaing!"
"Oh-kay. i'm just gonna be upstairs with Gooch and Henry.... have fun..hulaing???" I mumbled, frowning as I back into the elevator before pressing the up button fervently.
"i'm never getting used to that..." I shudder as I walk out of the elevator into the front of the shop.
Gooch was handling a crane, to move this heavy space rock that we found recently. probably junk. "hey Gooch, hen your bag is on the cart beside the elevator." I call, strolling in.
Henry nods and Gooch remains silent, focused. He picks up a potted plant and Gooch stopped him.
"No,no. Move all those things to the side." Gooch instructs. "Alright. Alright." Henry sighs. "Mar, come help."
"okay." i shrug, helping Henry shift the entire table of random junk to the side.
"Hey you guys." Charlotte walked into the store greeting us. "Hey char!" I acknowledged the girl with my head while lifting the table with both hands.
