From an early age, Andreas had never known peace. His father, Nikos Samaras, was the notorious head of the Greek mafia. Instead of showing love to Andreas, Nikos was an abusive man with an explosive voice. He had anger issues and would unleash his wrath on anyone, including Andreas' mother.

Andreas would hear his mother's cries for help and see the bruises on her skin, but he couldn't comprehend why she stayed with such a man. As he grew a little older, Andreas discovered that his mother never wanted to marry Nikos but was forced into an arranged marriage by her father.

She harbored no affection for Nikos and didn't feel any fondness for Andreas either.

Rather than receiving toys for Christmas, Andreas would be gifted guns by Nikos and his associates. Guided by his father, the young boy would be taken outside to learn how to shoot, using living, terrified people as targets.

As Andreas entered his teenage years, he fell in with shady acquaintances and started smoking. He became involved in destructive relationships, causing chaos wherever he went. His mother made attempts to intervene, but Andreas had lost all respect for her.

"What's the point of trying to help me if she doesn't even like me?" he thought. He recalled the exact words she spoke to him as a young boy: "You were nothing but a burden for me." Confronting her as a teenager, Andreas saw the guilt in her eyes.

Then, one drunken evening, Andreas stumbled upon his mother hanging from the entrance ceiling. Her funeral passed swiftly, and everyone seemed to forget her existence. But Andreas held onto her memory, regretting his failure to help her.

Following his mother's death, Nikos quickly married a Russian bombshell named Katrina. Unlike Andreas' mother, who lived a miserable life, Katrina relished her newfound wealth, flaunting it shamelessly. And if Nikos ever raised a hand to her, she would strike back.

Katrina was a wicked woman, engaging in affairs with other men. When Nikos discovered the infidelity, he would kill those unfortunate individuals. Enjoying her sadistic nature, Katrina reveled in her possessive love for Nikos and devised schemes to further provoke his anger. She even fabricated stories about Andreas, claiming he had assaulted her or treated her with contempt, testing the limits of Nikos' devotion.

Now an adult, Andreas bore the scars of his tumultuous upbringing, both mentally and physically, resembling his father with his imposing stature and cold, piercing blue eyes. He had taken over his father's treacherous business, and people no longer referred to him as Nikos' son. Instead, he became known as Andreas, the psychopath.

Nikos had grown old and retired to the Bahamas with the manipulative Katrina. Meanwhile, Andreas remained in Greece, running the business. His father would occasionally call, seemingly regretful of the damage he had caused in the past. However, Andreas always ended the conversations abruptly or refused to answer. There was no point in engaging with that man any longer.

For a while, Andreas had a reputation for being involved with sophisticated women. They were the epitome of beauty, with careers as models, actresses, or singers. However, their affairs would inevitably fizzle out, and Andreas would discard them like mere disposable objects.

As Andreas wandered through the streets, he found himself perplexed about what he truly wanted in life. He seemingly had it all: wealth, power, and the admiration or fear of those around him. Yet, an overwhelming sense of loneliness haunted him.

Everything changed one fateful day. Andreas and his men had just finished torturing a man and had stepped out of the building only to be engulfed by a large crowd. It was Pascha, and he had completely forgotten about it. Just as he and his men were about to depart, Andreas' gaze fell upon the most stunning woman he had ever laid eyes on!

The woman seemed lost, her beautiful eyes reflecting confusion as her radiant dark skin shimmered in the sunlight. Andreas' heart raced within his chest, and he found himself irresistibly drawn towards her, dismissing his men. Approaching her, he noticed her soft lips, delicate curls, and petite stature. It was as if she had cast a spell on him, and he was instantly captivated.

Suddenly, someone carelessly bumped into her, causing her camera to slip from her grasp. Before she could react, Andreas swiftly picked it up and handed it back to her. "Be careful," he smiled, placing the camera delicately in her petite hands. Blushing, she thanked him, and from that moment, their lives would never be the same.

Her name was Monica, and she was only visiting Santorini for a vacation. Monica possessed a sweet voice and a bubbly personality, the complete opposite of Andreas' gruff demeanor. Yet, her presence brought light into his dark world, and for the first time, he found himself genuinely liking someone.

Soon, Andreas found himself doing things he would never have considered for a woman. He took her on a sailing trip around the Aegean Sea, even when he had work to attend to. They indulged in a luxurious dinner by the seaside. Andreas felt genuinely happy until Monica shared some unfortunate news. "I wanted to thank you for showing me around and say goodbye one last time," she sadly smiled.

Andreas' mind ceased to function. She was leaving already? Just like that? No, he couldn't bear to lose her. She brought him happiness, and he needed her in his life. Saddened but determined, Andreas decided to let her go, but not before sealing their bond with a passionate kiss. From that moment, it was settled-Monica wasn't going anywhere.

Taking matters into his own hands, Andreas reached out to Mrs. Antoni, a friend of his father, and he urged her to hire Monica as a cook. Simultaneously, he contacted influential political figures to inquire about obtaining citizenship for Monica. All the while, Monica innocently believed that good luck was simply shining upon her. Little did she know that it was Andreas, with his dark schemes, who orchestrated everything behind the scenes.

What began as an innocent chat had transformed into a twisted love story. As Monica settled into her new life in Athens, things appeared to be going well. She found a job, moved into the city, and spent more time with Andreas. However, unbeknownst to her, this was only the beginning of a troubling journey.

She was starting to experience minor issues, such as her father ignoring her calls and Andreas displaying intimidation whenever she tried to be independent. Yet, she remained blind to these obvious red flags, unable to see the warning signs before her.

In Monica's perspective, she interpreted her father's lack of response as a sign of his adjustment to her leaving home, assuming he needed time to relax. Similarly, she saw Andreas' intimidating demeanor as a form of protection, reassuring herself that he only acted that way out of concern for her well-being. In her eyes, everything seemed to be going well, and she perceived no issues or red flags whatsoever.

As Monica continued to be oblivious to the warning signs, Andreas reveled in his manipulation and control over her. Although he experienced a twinge of guilt, knowing that his toxic behavior would ultimately harm her, his desire to keep her by his side outweighed any remorse he may have felt. He was a selfish man, and simply didn't care.
