I woke up to the light shining through my windows. Joey's arms were still wrapped around me and I heard him lightly breathing, signaling he was still asleep. I smiled at the sound and lightly closed my eyes, enjoying the moment. Suddenly Joey's breathing turned to normal and I opened my eyes to see he was awake.
"Sorry, did I wake you up?" Joey asked with a worried expression. I giggled. "No, I was already awake." I replied. "Oh, good." he said, relieved. He slipped his arms off of me as I sat up and stretched, looking out the window at beautiful Los Angeles. Joey sat up at wrapped his arms around my waist. "What do you want to do today?" he asked, resting his head on top of mine, yes, I was that much shorter. "I don't know, wanna take a walk later? Go out for froyo?" he suggested. I smiled again. "Sounds perfect."
We stood up and went to the kitchen, grabbing some cereal and sitting at the counter. I was almost done when Joey stood up. I looked at him quizzically but he just walked over into the kitchen and got out the blender. I assumed he was making a smoothie so I stood up to help him. "No no, sit back down! I'm making one for you." he said proudly, making his way to the fridge. I giggled, "Whatever you say." and sat back down.
Joey finished the smoothies and handed mine to me. He walked back around to the counter, sitting on the stool. "Thank you Joseph." I said, as if I was a member of the royal family. "Why your welcome, princess Cora." Joey said, taking my hand and kissing the top of it. We laughed and drank our smoothies.
"Ok, I'll pick you up in an hour and we'll go, see you in a bit." Joey said, pecking my forehead and walking out the door. As soon as it closed a gigantic smile spread across my face. Joey is so perfect, I'm so lucky to have him. I happily skipped to my room and into my closet.
It was really nice out today, around the 70's and 80's. I decided on a dress that was light coral and flared nicely below the brown braided belt. I put on brown strappy sandals and a silver owl necklace along with Joey's promise ring. I put light waves in my hair with my curling iron and french braided a section in the front. I applied eyeliner and mascara along with light pink blush and a clear lip gloss. I grabbed my coach wrislet and sat on the couch to wait for Joey.
I heard a knock at the door and hopped up, meeting Joey. We hopped in the car and drove to Yogurt Land because it was close to the park where we would walk afterwards. We ordered our usual and started searching for an empty table. I looked up at Joey, who then said "Wanna eat in the park? It's only a building over." I liked this idea so I nodded and said "Sounds great!"
We made our way to the park and sat down at a bench. When we were just about done but too lazy to get up yet, Joey said, "I'm thirsty. I'm gonna run back and grab a soda. Want anything?" I replied with "Sprite please!" Joey got up, throwing away his dish on the way back to get us soda. I stood up and walked to the garbage can to throw my dish away. On my way back to the bench I felt my phone vibrate inside my wristlet so I took it out and viewed the screen.
It was a text from a random number that said, "I see you." I looked up, dropping my phone. I was scared out of my mind. I knew exactly who it was from in the back of my mind. I started running towards Yogurt Land, yelling Joey's name. But I was stopped.
Stopped by a familiar pair of arms. Which weren't Joey's.
