Not only the person living beside you is necessarily your neighbour but anyone that you come in contact with, that you can help. If you see someone in need of something, or simply it can be a few words of encouragement that will brightens somebody's day. There are numerous of persons looking for help and support, you are not as simple as you think you are, you can create a big impact on them. Even this here the gospel of Christ, just telling someone about it, you may be saving a life from suicide, from further depression and letting in the healer King Jesus to heal every wound within that person.
Luke:
10:29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?10:30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
10:31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
10:32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
10:33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
10:34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
10:35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
10:36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
Meditate upon this scripture. If you were in the position of that person , being robbed and left to die, wouldn't you want someone to come and assist you, or let you die? I'm sure to assist you. That is why as Christians we should look out for our brother and sisters should some sense of affection towards them when they are hurting. As the bible say if they mourn you mourn, the same if they are happy you should be too. Sometimes all someone needs is a word of encouragement, just like a day before all my friends left, I was feeling so down and that friend was just encouraging me with a few words, that I was actually facing,it really took root in my heart throughout that DAY and most of all I cried because God remembered me. So does he want to use you, like how he used a friend to encourage me, he wants to use you to help someone else.
Help somebody today☺.
