Gingerstar groaned in his nest made out of grass. The Tribe had decided to stay in TigerClan camp for a while, and the camp was crowded!

He got up and padded outside. He gasped when he was greeted by a ton of white.

No! Gingerstar looked for the fresh-kill, but he couldn't find it. He sniffed everywhere and it was gone.

"The fresh-kill has been eaten," Gorsestar meowed, jumping down next to Gingerstar. "We must survive this cold."

Gingerstar ignored him and walked back into the pile of sticks. It was warm and there was grass here, but it was cold and there was barely any grass out of the den.

The ginger tom sat in his nest, blinking sleep from his eyes. How could he ever leave this home?

Gingerstar thought about GingerClan's camp. It was not sheltered.

He yawned. At least he could get some sleep here. Gingerstar then remembered the mountain journey. He walked over to Stoneteller and tapped him on the shoulder.

"What is it?" The Tribe leader grumbled. He opened his eyes and spotted Gingerstar. "Oh, the journey! Hahaha, how could I forget?"

Gingerstar smiled and jumped onto the second level of the sticks. He scrambled up onto the second level. Young warriors slept here.

Bluespot, Snoweyes and Treefur were sleeping near a corner.

Ugh. Gingerstar walked over to them and growled. "Wake up!"

The three young warriors woke up. Bluespot hissed. "Gingerstar, why have you woken us warriors up from our naps? We were having great dreams!"

Gingerstar flicked his tail. "We're going on the journey with the Tribe!"

Snoweyes jumped. "Oh yeah! The journey!"

"Keep it down!" Sharpleaf snapped.

The four cats jumped off the second level of the sticks and out the den.

Gingerstar swatted at the snow to push the white to the side. He grumbled. "It's too high."

Snoweyes pawed at it. "When I was a tiny, tiny kit, I remember Streamstar jumping on top of the snow. Maybe we could do that."

"Right." Gingerstar leapt at the snow, but he fell into it. Suffocating, Gingerstar pawed at the snow. He dragged himself up, snow all over him.

Treefur chuckled. "I thought you were a bird without wings for a second!"

Gingerstar scrambled himself out of the deep snow. "There's no way we're getting past that."

"That's not how Streamstar did it. Watch!" Snoweyes leapt onto the snow, spread out her legs to the side and landed. She didn't fall into the white.

Gingerstar blinked. He did the same thing as Snoweyes, and he still fell into the snow.

"You're using your claws," Snoweyes meowed. "If you have unsheathed claws, then you'll just sink in."

"Ok." Gingerstar pushed himself out. He smiled when the Tribe cats came out of the camp. "Welcome, Tribe of Endless Water, to the journey!"

Stoneteller snorted.

Gingerstar turned to the deep snow and jumped. He did the same thing as Snoweyes and landed perfectly. He smiled and looked at the Tribe cats. They were gasping.

Bluespot and Treefur jumped up beside them.

Stoneteller growled and leapt at the snow. He didn't even spread out his legs and he fell into the white.
