*Luna's POV*

Niki and I woke up at about 11 am "Holy shit! We really slept in late huh," I say, "Well, we have to wake up early for school 5 days a week, so we deserve this," Niki says, "I mean, you're not wrong though," I replied.

We go downstairs to eat "Oh, I don't really have much food, but I have cereal," I told him, "That's fine, I usually eat cereal for breakfast anyway," Niki said.

We sat down and ate our cereal which was some lovely Coco Pebbles.

After that, I went upstairs quickly to get dressed and we then ran over to Niki's house so he could change his clothes for the day too.

"What are we gonna do today," Niki asks, "Buddy your asking the wrong person because I don't know," I said, "But I don't really want to sit around all day, I want to keep busy so I don't really think about the events yesterday," I told him, "I don't blame you," Niki said.

We spent the day walking around the city and going for lunch a small restaurant and also looking around different shops. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fun, it was an amazing day, definitely getting my mind off of things.

In about late afternoon, Niki and I were in a small alley luckily it didn't have no gangs in it. I saw the clouds get dark. Fuck. A storm is coming, I fucking hate storms. Niki noticed my worried look at the sky and asked, "You good?" "Y-yeah, I'm fine," I say.

*Loud thunder noises*
I flinched at them, I get so nervous when there is thunder, especially lightning. When I was about 6, my family was in a parking lot of a store, we drove away and in that spot we were just in, a lightning bolt hit there and a big tree branch fell there. We were all so lucky that we didn't get hit by that. I've been scared of thunderstorms to this very day.

"I think we should get home," Niki suggested, "Yep, we need to go. Right now." I replied quickly. Soon enough, it started raining so hard I could barely see in front of me and we both got drenched the second the rain came down. "Quick! Let's get under that awning!" Niki exclaimed, "Ok!" I said back.

My hands started shaking not just because I was not very cold, but at my anxiety and soon enough, my whole body started shaking. I tried so hard to hold back my tears because of how terrified I was, but I couldn't they fell down continuously. My breathing then started to get irregular too. Oh shit, not ANOTHER panic attack, I had two yesterday.

Niki quickly noticed my shaken state. He pulled me into a tight hug and tried to calm me down. "It's ok, it's just a storm, it'll pass, and I promise we will be ok," He assured me, "I-I know I j-just get s-so nervous during s-storms, because of a e-experience when I was l-little," I said, "Oh," He said.

This was only the beginning of the storm, it started to get worse. Niki sat down still under the awning and me still in his hold. There was another loud thunder noise and a strike of lightning. I closed my eyes and flinched at the sound. God, I feel like I've been a baby the past day and a half. Usually, I'm very independent, but I feel so helpless since yesterday.

About 10 minutes later, the storm ended, and I finally calmed down. "Thank god it's over," I say, quite relieved, "I'm sorry if I've been so helpless since yesterday, I feel like I've been like a crybaby," I say, "I don't think you've been a crybaby or helpless. Luna, after what your mom did, it's ok to feel quite sad and cry. You're also not a baby for being afraid of storms, a lot of people are afraid of them," Niki told me, "Ok, I guess you're right," I said.

We quickly walked home in silence. It was a comforting silence though. We got into my house and sat on the couch. I then asked him a question, "Hey, would you mind staying with me until your parents return from their trip?" "Sure," Niki replied,
"I think I should tell you why I got nervous earlier," I say, "Ok," he said, "So, when I was about 6, my family and I were about to drive out of a parking lot, and there was a nasty thunderstorm. When we drove out of the parking lot, lighting struck where the car just was, and a huge tree branch fell in the same spot. We were so grateful that we didn't get hurt. After that, I've been afraid of storms to this day," I explain, "Oh my, that's horrible, good thing you survived," Niki said, "Yeah. Anyway, I think we should go over to your house so you can pack a bag," I suggest, "Ok let's go," He replied.

*Time skip*

Soon enough, it's time for us to go to bed because we are both tired from the long day. We both cuddle up to each other on my bed falling asleep.

The thoughts of me catching feelings for him still remain.

*Niki's POV*
The thought of me falling in love with her remain.
