Five years after the events of Fatal Attractions, Jedi Knight Kira Regana dedicates herself to training teenage Padaw...
On Tython, Kira Regana stands at one end of a cliff with a waterfall flowing down from above. There is a staggered system of stone pillars leading to Kira's position. Adaya Bellis stands blindfolded on the other side, just before the first pillar.
"For this exercise, you must forget about your eye sight. You must see through the force. Reach out with your feelings. Sense your surroundings and navigate your way to my position blinded." Kira instructs her student. "You may begin, Padawan."
Adaya begins the exercise, struggling but somehow still managing to navigate her way around the pillars.
"Very good. Stay focused. You're making excellent progress." Kira encourages her young pupil. "Remember: You are one with the force. The force is one with you."
"I am one with the force... The force is—" Suddenly, the edge of the cliff gives way, causing Adaya to slip and fall off. "Master!" She shouts.
Kira grabs Adaya mid-air using the force. She carries her apprentice to where she started the exercise. "That was a great attempt, but you must try again. Don't concern your thoughts with danger, for I will protect you. Focus." Says the teacher. "Do not mind the gap, for any obstacle can be overcome with the force. Go again."
Adaya tries the obstacle course, this time, once reaching the gap in the cliff, she force jumps over the hole, landing on the finishing side of the course.
Kira removes the blindfold from her student's head. "Congratulations, Padawan. You have passed this trial." She smiles. "Your strength in the force grows with each passing day. Your progress is remarkable, Adaya."
Adaya bows, smiling at Kira. "Thank you master, it is your teachings that helps me to strengthen my connection to the force."
"To think. Only a few years ago, you were that small, sweet, eager child. You've grown so much in such little time." Says Kira. "One day, you shall accomplish great things, young Adaya. I look forward to overseeing your growth."
"And I look forward to passing my trials thanks to your wisdom and knowledge, master." The Padawan bows again.
Kira places her hand on Adaya's shoulder. "Let us return to the Temple. Get some rest before your next trial."
"Of course, master."
