The smell of eggs, bacon, and toast had woken me up. I slowly rose and dropped my feet to the ground. "How are you feeling?" the blond nurse asked

"Oh, I'm fine. When should I expect you to run tests on me?"

"You shouldn't" I throw her a confused eyebrow

"But I thought you said I would be tested today?"

"You were, but not anymore" She smiled and walked away. Clearly, something is going over my head because why isn't she going to test my blood anymore?

I push the questions away and make my way to the dinner table. I see two plates out along with napkins and silverware. I take a seat and patiently wait for the delicious-smelling food. For a second I almost thought I had the privilege of eating alone when the sound of Alexander's shoes hit the ground.

I prepare myself for whatever he might say, but no words echo in the distance. He sits down and grabs some breakfast from the table and as for me I just stare down unsure of what to say or do. I go to look up but it seems like he has read my mind once again.
"I have arranged for a carriage to bring you back to your kingdom" Growing confusion makes me question if I'm dreaming or if this is actually real

"Why the sudden change of heart Alexander'' He looks up at his name and there's something in his eyes that light up

"You have no meaning of being here anymore, so I am letting you leave" I can't believe it. I finally can leave. This is great news, yet nothing in my heart feels a bit of excitement.

"You will leave after you have eaten" he inputs. I think back to our disagreement from last night. I hope it wasn't because of what I said. Great, now I'm beginning to become hot and cold just like him.

"Alexander-" he cuts me off immediately

"Please don't. If you want to go then this is me allowing that to happen" I didn't mean to call him a coward last night, I just wanted to let him know loving someone doesn't make you weak. I go back to staring at the table. He gets up already finished with his food and pushes his chair in.

"Goodbye princess, I hope you and Prince Caspian have a long happy marriage" He covers how he truly feels masking his sentence with a growl, but deep down in his voice I picked up on a hint of disappointment. He walked away to go directly to his office leaving me twiddling my fingers.

The maid takes me back to the room I was staying in before this whole accident.

"There are some clothes on the bed since you have been wearing that green dress for a little bit." I smile and nod at her.

"Thank you for being so kind to me"

"Don't thank me. Us girls have to look out for each other, am I right?" I lightly chuckle at the words she has displayed toward me.

"You know this isn't my place to say anything, but I haven't seen Alexander react this way in a long time"

"What do you mean?" I know this conversation shouldn't continue but my curiosity runs deep

"Well he hasn't really gone out of his comfort zone to talk to anyone but the people who work in this castle, yet even then he rarely communicates with us"

"Oh" is all my mouth lets out. This doesn't change the fact of anything. He wants me to leave per his request. The weird thing is my feelings. Somehow I am attracted to him. Somehow I feel connected to him. All I can say is the heart wants what it wants and my heart is longing for this familiar green-eyed, morally gray man, but for now, this whole situation will just be a blur in my life.

I walk out wearing a long sleeve blouse and pants that feel as if they should belong to a man. This ride home is more about comfort than beauty, yet my father and mother would highly disapprove of the style of clothes I wear.

"Ma'am, your carriage is here" the maid states, well looks like it's time to go. I walk to the front of the castle with the maid by my right side.

"Greggory will be riding with you to insure a safe travel" Who is Greggory I thought.

"Thank you for being more than kind on these most confusing days"

"Of course. I hope to see you one of these days, but if I don't, I wish you the best life"
I smile at her and continue my way out of the castle. The doors of the castle open and in my sight, there is a dark black carriage. I turn around to get one more glimpse of the home that holds just a young man that seeks power but holds no remorse.

When my eyes scan to the top left I see a figure standing by the window just staring in my direction, but then when they notice I'm staring back they remove themselves from my sight. My only assumption is that it was Alexander, but it doesn't matter what assumptions I might come up with because the time for me to leave is now.

"All ready ma'am?" an older man's voice called out from inside the carriage. I can guess that it is Greggory who called out for me. I turned my frame and got into the carriage. This would be a long ride. Maybe if I take a nap it will go by fast so I don't have to think about- I immediately cut myself from going there. What's done is done. I've made too much of a big deal about this situation.

We reached my homeland after a very long and quiet ride. I looked out the window and saw all of the staff from my castle huddled around the carriage I was in.

"It's been a true honor of escorting you ma'am" Greggory smiled and helped me out of the small door. Before my foot touched the ground all the maids and helpers of my parents came crowding around me.

"Oh dear, we were so worried for you. I'm so glad you are finally back" my mom said, wrapping her arms around me.

"Now that you're back we can presume you are meeting with your future husband" I was wondering when I would get my old mom back.

"Instead of you going to his kingdom he will come here and shortly escort you back to where you will continue the family line by producing heirs" She glazed my face and turned sharp on her heels to walk back to the castle. I followed shortly after. Now I was back to my old life which I was very grateful for, but when I was with him he made me feel alive.

He touched a part of me that's never been lit up before. I'm hoping that Prince Caspian can at least make me laugh even if the joke sounds stupid.
