Chapter 10

M- Are you alright?

A- Yes. Oh look, the Viceroy came.

Manorama looked at the Viceroy. She glared at him. The Viceroy sat on the chair on the stage. 

M- This is the last time you will be here. I will kill you today. Enjoy while you can. She thought.

Everyone clapped when the Viceroy came.

The host then welcomed everyone.

Host- Lets watch a performance.

M- I will come now.

A- where are u going?

M- Th... that you know I have to go for my mission.

A- Oh. Ok. Come soon.

Manorama fake smiled and went away. 

Then some dancers came and performed. During the performance, Manorama went away when she saw her partner waiting for her.

M- What happened?

? - Are you ready?

M- Yes. I have to somehow make the family leave from here.

? - Do what you can. We have to make sure we win this mission.

M- Don't worry. This is the last day of Viceroy. I have to go now. She left.

A- Did u finish your mission.

M- Ye... yes. Almost finished. She smiled forcefully.

A- Didn't finish your mission completely?

M- I have to welcome the Viceroy too. Then my mission will be completed.

A- Oh. Ok. He smiled.

Host- That was a wonderful performance. Now we shall honor the Viceroy. The one who will welcome and honor the viceroy is BONDITA ROY CHAUDHARY.

Anirudh and Manorama was shocked. Manorama didn't understand what's happening.

Host- Bondita Roy Chaudhary is the first girl from Tulsipur to study. She not only a student but she passed with top marks and have got scholarship to study at any University of her choice. So, please welcome Bondita Roy Chaudhary on stage.

Hearing this Anirudh felt happiness. He started to clap followed by other guests.

A- Bravo Bondita. Manorama did you hear. Bondita got top marks and she even got scholarship. I'm so happy today. He told smiling.

Manorama just smiled at him.

M- Now what to do? she thought.

Bondita came and walked towards the stage.

B- Thank you everyone. I am so happy. I always loved learning. Education is important. Not only for boys but for girls as well. I wanted to show that girls are equal to boys. Girls have every right to get education. I hope through me, every girl gets inspired and start to get educated. She spoke.

Everyone clapped and she continued her speech. She finished her speech by thanking the Viceroy.

Bondita came down the stage. Bondita then went towards Manorama.

B- Didi, we should give the gift to Viceroy. Right? 

M- Yes Bondita. Wait. Anirudh you and Bondita go get the gifts from the car. I will wait here. 

A- But...

M- Anirudh please.

Anirudh didn't understand but Bondita knew.
