Chapter 21

Later that day, Bondita saw Anirudh in the living room reading newspaper. She saw Karan in his room. She went to him. 

B- Karanji. She called him.

K- Oh! Bondita. What happened?

B- Tomorrow is our wedding.

K- Yes, I know that. 

Bondita saw Anirudh going to his study, so she spoke a little loudly.

B- I am so happy. Tomorrow we will get married. 

Anirudh stopped and looked and saw Bondita standing very close to Karan and talking to him smiling. He wanted to hear what she had to say, so he stood near the door. Bondita saw Anirudh hiding and smirked internally.

K- Bondita?

B- I have something to give you.

K- What?

B- This. She showed a red rose.

Karan looked at it and smiled. He loves red roses. He took it from her hand and smiled. Anirudh felt his heart break. He remembered giving rose to Manorama.

Is this what Bondita felt when I gave rose to Manorama? Anirudh thought feeling sad. 

B- I have prepared a special gift for you.

K- Another gift? Bondita no need for all that.

B- Why not? You have always supported me. Now we are going to be together Forever. These gifts are nothing compared to what you have done for me. Please PATI BABU. She showed puppy eyes and pouted.

Karan smiled at her cute expression.  

K- Fine where is the gift?

Bondita smiled. She asked him to wait and started walking towards the door. Anirudh seeing Bondita coming toward the door hid near a cupboard nearby. Bondita went to her room and took a box and went back to Karan.

Karan looked at her and then to the box feeling confused. Anirudh came out of the hiding spot and looked at Bondita. 

K- What is this box Bondita?

B- Your gift. Open it.

Karan took the box. Anirudh was confused. He wondered what was in the box. Karan opened the box and looked at Bondita surprised. He took the gift out. Anirudh felt his breath stop for a moment. It was COCO PHONE. He teared up seeing it. The coco phone was a thing b/w him and Bondita. 

K- This?

B- COCO PHONE. Did you like it. I made it.

K- I love it Bondita.

Bondita hugged Karan and spoke.

B- I am feeling so lucky to have a handsome and wonderful person like you to be my husband. You will always be with me, right? You won't leave me like others did in the past right? She asked feeling a little vulnerable.

Bondita knew that she is hurting Anirudh, but she is feeling hurt thinking about the past. Anirudh couldn't look anymore, so he left to his room with tears in his eyes. 

Karan hugged Bondita knowing she is hurting thinking about the past. He knew how much hurt she is feeling. They have been friends for 8 years Afterall.

K- I will never leave you Bondita. I will be by your side.

B- Thank you. She broke the hug. I have to go now. 

K- Ok.

Bondita left.

Bondita's room

Bondita POV

I don't know why I feel vulnerable. It should be Anirudh not me. But the past memories are coming back. I hate this feeling. But I hate Anirudh more. Bondita, you should stop thinking about the past.
