Chapter 13

Bondita POV

Today I'm reaching India. It's been 8 years. I have now become a Barrister. After Manorama Didi's death, I wanted to leave from there. Not only because I missed Didi, but I didn't want to see Barrister Babu. So, I took the chance to go to London right after I finished my school. Afterall, I got the scholarship. In London I made many friends. I missed everyone so much. Especially Karanji. I blush thinking about him. But why? I don't know.

Karanji used to call me and always ask about my well-being. He gives me update about the things happening in India like how girls are getting education, no more sati and if anyone tries to force girls to do it, they will get severe punishment. I am happy that things are changing.

I always send letter to RC family. I have got letters from Barrister Babu, but I didn't answer to any of them. Why should I? Kaka and Baba used to tell me about how much they miss me. My friend Batuk has gone to France to study. Som Dada has become a doctor. Just like I saw in the serial, Sampoorna and Baba have a daughter. Her name is Shaswathi. I'm sure she is so cute. I can't wait to meet her. Barrister Babu, he is busy with changing and bringing new laws. He is famous afterall. 

There is no Chandrachur, I guess. He may come later, IDK. I mean in the Barrister babu serial, Bondita goes, or should I say escape from her marriage with Chandrachur, then she goes to London to study. I guess there is going to change. 

I reached India. I stepped down the ship. I took some sand and put it on my forehead as if I was taking blessings. I took a deep breathe. Oh, how I missed my country. I went in a taxi and asked the driver to take me to RC mansion.

After an hour, I finally reached the mansion. I went near the door and rang the bell. Bhari babu opened the door and looked at me shocked. 

I smiled and said- Hi Bhari babu.

Bihari- Choti Malkin. He said excitedly. Bade Malik, Choti Malkin has come. He shouted.

Kaka came and looked at Bhari babu.

Kaka- What is wrong Bihari. Why are you shouting? He said grumpily.

Bihari- Bade Malik, look Choti Malkin is here. He said excitedly.

Kaka looked at me. He looked at me with tears in his eyes.

Kaka- Bondita Beti. Is that you?

I went near him and took his blessings.

Yes, it is me kaka. I smiled at him. He then shouted and called everyone. Baba, Sampoorna and Som dada came. All of them looked at me having tears in their eyes.

Binoy- Bondita, how are you Beti? Come in.

Kaka- Wait, Sampoorna Bahu, go bring the aarti ki thali. 

There is no need for that kaka. I said to him.

Kaka- What do u mean no need? You have come back home after 8 years. It is a must.

Sampoorna brought the thali and started to do my Arthi. I then stepped inside the house. Everything looks the same. There were no changes.

Kaka- Sampoorna bahu, go bring something to eat. 

No need kaka. I already ate. I told him.

Kaka- Ok. Go take rest. Bihari put her luggage in her room.

Bhari Babu took my luggage and went. Just then, I heard some small giggle. I looked and saw a cute girl. I went near her and sat up to her height.

You must be Shaswathi, right? I asked her.

Sha- Yes. You are Bondia aunty, right? She asked me smiling.

How did you know? 

Sha- Everyone always talks about you. Maa showed me your photo and told me that u are my aunt. She said innocently.

I couldn't help but smile. I took her in my arms and sat on the couch and kept her on my lap. I kissed her chubby cheeks. I spoke with her. She is so cute.

Kaka- Shaswati Beti, let your aunt go and she needs to take rest. 

Sha- But I want to play with Aunt. She whined.

Kaka- She will play with you later. First let she rest, and you can play at night.

Shaswati, I will play with you later. I promise. I told her. She pouted. She made me do pinky promise and ran away.

Kaka, uh, where is Barrister Babu?

Kaka- He went to the court. He will come late.

Ok. I went to my room. I went and took a bath. I don't wear sarees in house. I wore a frock which ends near my knees. I then lied on the bed thinking how to take revenge on Barrister Babu. I know it's been long, but I still can't forget what he did. He has to feel the same pain. I didn't know when I slept. 

Hi guys. This chapter just shows Bondita. In the next chapter, I will show Bondita and Anirudh meeting.
