pThe moment Annabel told me that the closest person I had to a sister had been locked away, I could feel my throat closing and my world becoming more black by the second.

"Flinnie? Flinnie?" kimmie stands above me as my eye sight becomes a bit clearer. "Is that you?" my voice raspy and worn. I don't know how kimmie is here. suddenly, a shining face above me is gone into thin air. "ki-" I am cut off by wrenching screams. HELP scrawled out in messy letters blur my vision. then I see her.

I lay in hospital bed. my breaths are slow and heavy. A tear stained Annabel walks through the thin doorway. "I-I.." she clearly cant find the words to say. I drop my head and start to fiddle my fingers when I notice the IV in my arm.

"I wish you could read my mind" she finally says after a minute or two. I look up and smile at her. "what for? what happened?" I ask. i am suddenly curious. "well," she sits on my bed. i otice one small rose linked between her thump and index finger. "first, I told you, you know." I feel a lump in my throat as she mentions my life's end. "then you started and to twitch and laugh uncontrollably." I guess that I had a seizure of some sort.

I nodded when Annabel was done with her story. I didn't look her the eyes. I couldn't. "can I tell you something, Flinn?" I look up to her at that moment, but it seems that she doesn't want to look at me either. "of course" I whisper, looking back down. "Flinn, 3 weeks ago, I got quadernned." I know. " I sort of....escaped" she almost whispered the last word.

she continues. " I ran for about a mile, and I met the most amazing boy, Kaleb." she sighed. " why are you telling me this" I question before thinking. "because Flinn, I know."
