It had been a week since the battle at swordsmith Village, the other hashira, and I had recovered in a few days and returned back
Right now, I was at a hashira meeting, but unfortunately Oyakata-sama wasn't here to lead the meeting, it was his wife instead Amane-san, she had informed us that he was physically unable to come here, and we were all worried for him
Though she started the meeting by saying that the three hashira at the swordsmith village, including me, had awake the demon slayer Mark..?
I didn't even know what those were honestly, and she had explained them aswell, and then asked us to say how we had awakened them
As kanroji-san and Muichiro gave their explanations, I listened closely and tried to figure out the exact moment I had gotten my mark
Then it hit me. During the battle with the child demon, or uppermoon 4, one of his wood dragons had landed a lightening attack, and I'd unfortunately been hit, and then flung to the tree Breaking my back and my left arm Then, at that moment, multiple dragons came at me, "Get up. Get up. Ayaka, get up." I told myself multiple times, but was frozen Then Kanroji-san came, and she cut the demons, standing in front of me, protecting me, as she said "Hana-chan, get up, you can do it, Ibelieve in you, and if not, I'll protect you." Her, saying those words, protecting me from a demon, that reminded me of my brother... And through his memory and words, I got up, my heart beat must've been around 180-200 beats per minute, and I could feel myself heating up to around 40⁰ C, after that it was like my senses had all been multiple ten fold, and I felt stronger Since my left hand was broken, I wasn't able to use it, though I did notice a sort of mark on it, a red snowflake, similar to my brothers kimono.

Then, as it was my turn to speak, I said calmly "I think it was when during the fight with uppermoon 4, I was struck by lightning, and then swung to a tree, but Kanroji-san had protected me, and the words she said to me brought me memories of my brother, who unfortunately died protecting me from a demon, I was frozen in fear, but his memories helped me get up, my heart beat increased to around 200 beats per minute, and My temperature to around 40⁰ C, as Muichiro said, after that, a snowflake sort of red mark had appeared on my hand, and my senses had increased drastically"
The other hashira nodded as Amane-san continued the meeting . . . At the end of the meeting, we had figured out that gaining the marks was more of a test of survival, and we had survived or passed the test in a way.
After that, the hashira all discussed ways to improve the demon slayer corps. The demons had been silent after Nezuko conquered the sun, like a calm before the storm. I didn't like that at all
