I decided to start this book I'm writing with my, as I call it, my true calling book. Otherwise known as my FAVORITE BOOK IN THE WHOLE WORLD!! This novel came out in 2005 as John Green's first book. This novel takes place in a small town in Alabama called Culver Creek. 16 year old Miles Halter, AKA, Pudge, goes to a boarding school there where he meets the amazing Alaska Young and Chip Martin, AKA, The Colonel. Together this group of teens get themselves into many adventures or as Pudge calls it, The Great Perhaps. This book is cut into two parts, Before and After. They are in the same copy but in the middle of the novel it changes from "1 day before," to "1 day after." In the description of this book it says "Before, everything was normal. After,Nothing is ever the same." This book made me laugh out loud and cry. If you have ever read a John Green Book, you know how he likes to mess with our feelings and believe me when I tell you this, this book had me screwed up for days thinking about it. If you have not read this book I highly recommend it. There is some mature content and language but this is definitely a favorite book of mine, check it out!!!
