(Y/N) rolled over in bed, the covers begging her to stay. She was only human, so she complied. (Y/n) (L/N) lived alone, and it had been that way her whole life. Being an orphan had its perks. No one to nag at you, no one to yell at you for staying out too late or not letting you go out at all. No one to rely on, no one that, no matter what you did, would still love you.

That's not how life worked. Forced from a young age to fend for herself, (Y/N) developed a personality that revolved around survival. No matter who she had to step on, no matter who she had to crush, she would survive. To spite her parents who abandoned her, and to not let those who were praying on her down fall to win.

She had run away from that stupid orphanage and ended up on the streets. If she hadn't clawed her way through every fight, there was no way she would have survived. Until he found her. That damn ✩Chairman Choi.

Her channel enabled her to afford the basic necessities, but (Y/N) wanted more. Soon, a distant rumble could be heard and she knew the train was half a block away. The apartment she could afford was in a building a blocked away from the rail-way tracks.

Not that she minded, it was nice to listen to it thunder past, wondering what lives the people on it lived. There was one mission, one goal; ᴇxᴘᴀɴᴅ ᴄᴀʀᴏᴜꜱᴇʟ ᴀɴᴅ ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ʀɪᴄʜ ᴀꜱ ꜰᴜᴄᴋ.

It was a Sunday, and any normal person would have a lunch with the family, maybe even go to Church. But (Y/N) was past religion and past praying for a better life. So, the (h/c) girl walked the streets, a yellow backpack slung over her shoulders with her metal bat secured horizontally in the straps.

Luckily, the abandoned construction sight that was the base of operations wasn't far from her home. It was right beside the underpass and railway tracks. Maybe that was why it was abandoned, who wanted to live right there? Well, that was what made it perfect for her.

The girl yawned, holding her hand in front of her mouth as she rounded a corner. She was in sleep debt after staying up countless nights, some in the arcade with Taehoon and some simply playing video game til the sun came up in her apartment. And of course, the occasional NewTube video.

Passing a convenience store, the girl realized she didn't have any snacks on her. Now that wouldn't do. The bell jingled, signaling her presence as she strolled in, in no particular rush. (Y/N) walked past a chubby cashier with glasses, who immediately looked down after her eyes sliced to meet his.
