Y/n's POV
Today was Monday and the start of a fresh new work week, which means another week that'll drag on. I was in my office for a majority of the day until my meeting with a few higher ups at the end of the day, which just wrapped up. It went well and I told them about the visit with Rosie and how she was excited about the in-ears and everything.
They were all super excited to have someone as big and as popular as her to be our first true client of these in-ears for her tour. I know throughout the tour they will definitely want me to get some feedback from Rosie about the in-ears, just to make sure they're the best they can be.
But all that talk about the in-ears and whatnot is no longer my problem as I'm on the elevator to leave this place at 5:03pm and head to my weekly therapy. I love being able to not worry about work when I'm not there. That's one thing that is a lot different from school because there was homework and everything, but now companies would rather burn to the ground than pay people overtime to work at home.
I love it.
I love turning off my brain after work.
I headed out of the building once the elevator got to the lobby and went over to my car, putting my laptop bag inside on the passenger seat as I turned it on. I looked through my playlists before deciding on a nice summer one since it was a beautiful day out. I rolled down my window a bit to let some breeze hit me and I started my drive to therapy.
"Hard times, gonna take you down and laugh when you cry." I sang to myself as I sat in the rush hour traffic. My session isn't until 6, but I know this traffic will last a long time as I have to get to the other side of the city.
I let my mind wander and figure out what I was going to update Sandra on. It didn't take a second before my mind went to Rosie, making me smile to myself.
We've been texting daily and getting in a few calls over the weekend. They were short ones since Rosie couldn't find a whole lot of time to escape planning her tour, but my heart still tried to kill me each time. My watch even buzzed once telling me my heart rate was high when Rosie called me after she did a run through of some choreo.
I was definitely a little flustered with her voice and how out of breath she sounded. Part of me wonders if that sneaky woman did that on purpose or not. I know she's been liking to tease me, so I wouldn't put it past her.
Will Sandra probably be annoyed that we are already making out with one another and basically acting like a couple after like a week of rekindling? Probably, but whatever.
The drive was a grueling one, inching forward through the various streets until I finally made it. And of course the only parking spot available was the further one away from the entrance. So I dragged my ass out of my car and headed in, taking a seat in the lobby and going on Instagram as I waited for Sandra to finish up with her current session.
I smiled to myself as I saw Lisa had posted a few pictures of her zoo on her L family Instagram. I honestly still can't believe she has that many animals living with her. She must have to clean and dust everyday or something because the hair would be insane.
I scrolled a bit more, just looked at some random things and stuff being promoted on my feed. After some time, I heard the sound of the door to my right start to open. I looked up from my phone and smiled at the man leaving Sandra's office, who sent a friendly smile back my way.
His name is Zane and he's always been right before me for my therapy appointments, so I've chatted with him a few times casually. He's nice and seems cool, but I wouldn't go out seeking another friendship because the ones I have are exactly what I need.
