(a/n: wee woo wee woo, another 9k word chapter ahead!!! ALSO HAPPY 200k WORDS FOR THIS BOOK, WTF)
Y/n's POV
I rested my head against the side of the jet as I looked out the small window. The small amount of turbulence made my head bounce a little, but I didn't mind as I was content with watching us fly high through the blue sky to Athens, Greece.
I did let my eyes break away from the window to look to my left and down a ways, right to where Rosie was sitting and blatantly staring at me. I chuckled to myself and rolled my eyes as we made eye contact,
"Rosie, you've been staring at me the entire flight so far." I stated as I readjusted my mask because I felt it slipping a little. Rosie scoffed,
"Well excuse me for wanting to look at my girlfriend because I have to keep my distance from her. I can't see you in your hotel room later, so this is all I get." She said as she shifted around a little in her seat, letting it recline a little more. I continued to look at her as I spoke,
"I'm sorry. But please do the staring where I don't creepily feel your eyes on me."
"How am I staring at you right now?"
"Like a serial killer."
"That's a stretch."
"No, I don't think it is because you literally won't tear your eyes away from me, just like a serial killer ready to kill their target."
"You're being dramatic, I'm staring at you lovingly."
"Then please work on that because you must need more practice." I stated as I heard my girlfriend grumble to herself,
"I always look at you lovingly, so I don't need practice." I was able to hear her say, making me softly smile under my mask,
"I know, you do stare at me lovingly other times. I think it's just the fact you haven't blinked this whole conversation that's creepy." I pointed out, to which she immediately blinked a few times, making me laugh. She got embarrassed and then gave me the finger before she tore her eyes away from me and got her phone out.
I felt my throat starting to get itchy, so of course I started to cough for a little. That obviously made Rosie look right back at me with worried and sad eyes. Every time I've coughed on the flight to Athens so far, she always gives me that same look. I know she feels sorry that I'm sick right now and I know if there was a medicine that cost $3 million to make me instantly better, she'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Along with a few more just for backup.
I let out a breath once I was done with my coughing fit and I moved my mask down a smidge to drink some water, along with putting a cough drop into my mouth. I put my mask back up and closed my eyes, leaning my head back to relax until the flight comes to an end.
"Jane, when will we land?" I heard my girlfriend ask her manager, who was a handful of rows behind Rosie; that's where all the staff was sitting to also keep their distance from me.
"Around 3pm, so in another hour."
"Okay. Is the driver going to take us right to the hotel then?"
"Your driver will, yes. Y/n is getting her own separate driver to take her to the hotel so she won't be in close quarters with you."
I know Rosie isn't going to like that.
"You've got to be kidding me. I'll wear a mask and a fucking hazmat suit so I can sit beside her!" She complained as I smiled under my mask. I heard Jane sigh and a few of the other staff chuckle at my girlfriend so passionately wanting to be by me,
