"Marcie! Are you all packed?" My mother called out to me. Today, we were moving two hours to Derry, Maine.

"I'm almost done!" I called back to her. I hated that I had to leave everything behind, my school and my friends. I had a really hard time even making friends at my old school. I put the last items in the cardboard box and picked it up. "I'm coming!" I called out. I took the box and put it in the truck. Then, me and my mom and got into the car and drove off. I didn't really have anything to do in the car, so I just read a book.

"Now, this is a new start, new school, new town, so I don't want you causing any trouble." My mom said to me while we were halfway there. "Mom, you know I don't make any trouble." I retorted. "Remember that one time you punched a kid in the face." My mom said to me. I remember exactly how it went.

While I was walking in the school hallway, some kid came up to me and called me a bitch. That wasn't the first time they had called me that, though.

I was sick of it, so I just decided to punch him in the face. I was sent to the principals office.

"He started it, though." I said back to my mom.

We finally arrived at our new house. It had two floors. It was a brick house. I just looked at it for a few moments before turning to grab our things from the moving truck.

First, I grabbed the box filled with all of my clothes. I took the box upstairs into my room and set the box down. I looked around my new room. It had grey paint covering the walls. There was no carpet in the room, all I could see was the dark brown wooden floor.

I wonder what I will be doing here in Derry. I hope I have a more normal life here than where I use to live.
